The Meghalaya delegation participating in Yuva Sangam Phase VI at NIT Warangal continued their cultural and experiential learning journey through visits to Ramappa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Laknavaram Lake, and other important heritage locations of Telangana. Coordinated by Shillong and supported by the EBSB Team of NIT Warangal, the programme is helping young participants understand India through direct cultural interaction and real life experiences. The delegates explored Telanganaβs architectural brilliance, cultural heritage, ecological beauty, and community traditions while engaging with local people and learning about the historical significance of the Kakatiya era. Along with heritage visits, the delegates actively participated in daily yoga and meditation sessions during early mornings and evenings. Many participants shared that yoga helped them feel calm, focused, refreshed, and more connected to Indiaβs traditional wellness practices. The programme continues to strengthen cultural understanding, friendship, and national unity among youth from different states under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. NIT Warangal welcomed a 49 member delegation from Meghalaya under Yuva Sangam Phase VI, an initiative of the Ministry of Education under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, coordinated by IIM Shillong . The weeklong programme combines cultural exchange, heritage visits, innovation exposure, rural engagement, startup interactions, yoga, plantation drives, and experiential learning activities to help young people understand India beyond classrooms. The delegates were welcomed by Prof. Bidyadhar Subudhi, Director NIT Warangal, along with institute officials, faculty members, and student volunteers during the inaugural programme at the Ambedkar Learning Centre followed by vibrant cultural performances from Telangana and Meghalaya. Chief Guest Prof. N. Naga Raju, Vice Chancellor, EFLU Hyderabad, encouraged the delegates to learn from each otherβs traditions and strengthen emotional bonding among youth across states. The participants will explore Telanganaβs cultural landmarks, technological advancements, entrepreneurship ecosystem, and rural transformation initiatives during their visit. NIT Warangal welcomed a high level delegation from GIZ and German academic institutions under the Indo German Living Lab Initiative supported by the Ministry of Education and KPMG India. Prof. Bidyadhar Subudhi, Director, NIT Warangal, formally welcomed the delegates and highlighted the instituteβs strengths in innovation, applied research, and industry engagement that led to NIT Warangal being considered as a potential Living Lab partner. The delegation later visited advanced research laboratories and interacted with faculty members and scholars to understand the instituteβs research ecosystem and identify future collaboration opportunities in AI, innovation, and industry linked pilot projects. Senior academic leadership including Prof. S. Srinivasa Rao, Prof. L. Anjaneyulu, Prof. Subash Chandra Bose, Prof. P. Radha Krishna, and Dr. B. Spoorthi also participated in the discussions.
