campus spread over an area of 25 acres in 1972. The college has blossomed gradually by leaps and bounds over the years both in infrastructure and academic matters. It was upgraded into a Post Graduation Centre offering courses in Science, Commerce, Management and Computer Sciences. Keeping in view the growing importance of the mode of distance learning in the present context, the college accepted to have a study centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) (1987) and School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education (SDLCE) of Kakatiya University (1991). In view of the vast importance of training for teachers, Lal Bahadur College of Education was established. Thus, the college is an excellent centre for formal and distance education and teacher training. Lal Bahadur College has been identified as one of the premier institutions of higher learning with a total strength of 2834. It has conducted several State level and National level Seminars. It is the first and the only affiliated Aided Degree College under the jurisdiction of Kakatiya University accredited with “A Grade” by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
