IEEE VCE Student Branch, in collaboration with IEEE VEC Student Branch,successfully organized the IEEE NextGen Membership Drive on 02 April 2026 at Vaagdevi Engineering Colleges.

The session began at 2:00 PM with a warm welcome to the distinguished speaker, Mr. Maheshh Nirati, Secretary, IEEE Computer Society Hyderabad Section. The program aimed to create awareness among students about IEEE membership, its benefits, opportunities, and global exposure.

Mr. Maheshh Nirati delivered an insightful session explaining the importance of IEEE, its various societies, and how students can utilize IEEE platforms for technical and professional growth. He also shared his experiences and guided students on how to actively participate in IEEE activities and enhance their skills. The session was interactive and informative, encouraging students to explore opportunities within IEEE and build a strong professional network.

After the completion of the session, Mr. Maheshh Nirati visited the IEEE VEC Student Branch, where he interacted with the volunteers and provided valuable inputs regarding IEEE activities, team coordination, and effective functioning of the student branch. His suggestions were highly beneficial and motivating for the volunteers.

IEEE VEC SB Branch Counselor, Ms. Prashanthi Byrapaka, also shared useful information and guidance with the volunteers, encouraging them to actively participate in IEEE activities and make the most of the opportunities provided.

The interaction session with the volunteers continued and concluded at 4:00 PM, followed by a group photo, marking the end of the session and capturing the memorable moments of the day.

The program served as a great platform for students to understand the true value of IEEE membership and its impact on their future careers.

IEEE VCE & VEC Student Branch, in collaboration with IEEE Hyderabad Section Computer Society Chapter, successfully organized a Guest Lecture on “Cyber Security in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” on 02 April 2026 at Vaagdevi Engineering College.

The session commenced at 12:30pm with a warm welcome to the guest speaker, Mr. Mahesh Nirati, Chair of Section Communications, Secretary of IEEE Computer Society Hyderabad Chapter, and Engineer II at RealPage Inc. The event aimed to provide students with valuable insights into the rapidly evolving domains of Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence.

Mr. Maheshh Nirati delivered an engaging and informative session, highlighting the importance of cyber security in today’s AI-driven world. He explained real-world applications, emerging threats, and the need for strong security practices in modern systems. His session also emphasized career opportunities and essential skills required for students to excel in this field.

The interactive session encouraged students to actively participate. The speaker shared practical knowledge and experiences, making the session highly beneficial and insightful.

IEEE VEC Student Branch proudly announces the formation of its New General Body for 2026.

On March 23rd, 2026, the General Body meeting commenced at 2:30 PM, with an address by the Branch Counselor,Ms.B. Prashanthi. She shared valuable tips and strategies on effectively planning the annual roadmap and achieving organizational goals.

Following this, the Main ExeCom Chair, Mr. A. Vinay Kumar, presented a well-structured and impactful annual plan, outlining key initiatives for the upcoming year. The session continued with Computer Society Chair Ms. P. Shalini, who delivered an inspiring presentation of her annual roadmap.

Further, SPCOM Joint Society Chair Mr. V. Sai Rishi and WIE Chair Ms. N. Vyshnavi presented their innovative and impactful annual plans, highlighting key initiatives and goals, while the Vice Chair, Secretary, and other office bearers shared their experiences, ideas, and vision for the upcoming term.

The meeting was followed by an interaction with the respected Principal of Vaagdevi Engineering College, Mr. M. Shashidhar, where the newly inducted 2026 committee members were introduced, and the annual plans were presented and discussed.

The session concluded successfully at 4:00 PM, marking the beginning of a dynamic and goal-oriented journey for the IEEE VEC SB 2026 team.
