Law is a career stream that aspirants can pursue at undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) or doctorate (PhD) level to study, reseach, and practice in India. Law as a career is prestigious, and is popular among students in India. Law practitioners include famous people like Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Ram Jethmalani, as well as the former US President Barack Obama.

Scope of law as a career is immense in India as opportunities expand in corporate houses, law firms, law agencies, administrative services, and the likes. These days, law graduates not only get dressed in black and white apparels to represent court but also make their presence felt with groundbreaking cases and legal reforms to make a difference. If you look at the history of law in India, it has seen some revolutionary changes before and after the Constitution was born. पहला हिंदी दिवस 14 सितंबर, 1953 को मनाया गया था, जब भारत के तत्कालीन प्रधान मंत्री पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू ने इस दिन को हिंदी दिवस के रूप में मनाने का फैसला किया था। 14 सितंबर, 1949 को संविधान सभा ने देवनागरी लिपि में हिंदी को भारत की आधिकारिक भाषा के रूप में स्वीकार किया ।
भारत मे अधिकतर क्षेत्रों में ज्यादातर हिन्दी भाषा बोली जाती थी इसलिए हिन्दी को राजभाषा बनाने का निर्णय लिया और इसी निर्णय के महत्व को प्रतिपादित करने तथा हिन्दी को प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में प्रसारित करने के लिये वर्ष 1953 से पूरे भारत में 14 सितम्बर को प्रतिवर्ष राष्ट्रीय हिन्दी-दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। स्वतन्त्रता प्राप्ति के बाद हिन्दी को आधिकारिक भाषा के रूप में स्थापित करवाने के लिए काका कालेलकर, हजारीप्रसाद द्विवेदी, सेठ गोविन्ददास आदि साहित्यकारों को साथ लेकर व्यौहार राजेन्द्र सिंह ने अथक प्रयास किये।
