Telugu Language Day celebrated
సీతంలో తెలుగు భాషా దినోత్సవం

విజయనగరం, ఆగస్టు 29: సీతం కళాశాలలో తెలుగు భాషా దినోత్సవాన్ని శనివారం ఘనంగా నిర్వహించారు. వ్యావహారిక భాషా ఉద్యమకారుడు గిడుగు వెంకట రామమూర్తి పంతులు జయంతిని పురస్కరించుకొని పద్య, గద్య పోటీలు నిర్వహించారు. తొలుత గిడుగు వెంకట రామమూర్తి పంతులు చిత్రపటానికి పూలమాల వేసి నివాళులర్పించారు.

కార్యక్రమానికి ముఖ్య అతిథిగా హాజరైన ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్ర అధికార భాషా సంఘం మాజీ సభ్యుడు డాక్టర్ అయల సోమయాజుల గోపాలరావు మాట్లాడుతూ తెలుగు భాష మన సంస్కృతి, సంప్రదాయాలకు ప్రతీక అన్నారు. మాతృభాషను పరిరక్షించుకోవడం ప్రతి ఒక్కరి బాధ్యత అని పేర్కొన్నారు. తెలుగు భాష ప్రాచీనత, సాహిత్య సంపదను విద్యార్థులు తెలుసుకొని నిత్య జీవితంలో తెలుగును విస్తృతంగా ఉపయోగించాలని సూచించారు. వ్యావహారిక భాషను ప్రజల్లోకి తీసుకెళ్లేందుకు గిడుగు వెంకట రామమూర్తి పంతులు చేసిన కృషి చిరస్మరణీయమన్నారు.

మరో ముఖ్య అతిథిగా వెయిట్ లిఫ్టింగ్ అసోసియేషన్ కార్యదర్శి, కోచ్ శ్రీ చల్లా రాము పాల్గొన్నారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా వీబీసిన్ టీవీ విజయనగరం రిపోర్టర్ శ్రీమతి బోడె విజయలక్ష్మి, సుమన్ టీవీ విజయనగరం ఉమ్మడి జిల్లా స్టాఫ్ రిపోర్టర్ శ్రీమతి అడప సీమ, ఎస్సార్ మీడియా స్టాఫ్ రిపోర్టర్ శ్రీమతి పోలూరి సునీత రెడ్డిలను ఘనంగా సన్మానించారు.

కళాశాల సంచాలకులు డాక్టర్ మజ్జి శశిభూషణరావు మాట్లాడుతూ మాతృభాషను కాపాడుకోవడంతో పాటు భావితరాలకు దాని గొప్పతనాన్ని అందించాల్సిన బాధ్యత ప్రతి ఒక్కరిపై ఉందన్నారు.

కళాశాల ప్రిన్సిపాల్ డాక్టర్ డి.వి. రామమూర్తి మాట్లాడుతూ తెలుగు భాషను కేవలం పాఠ్యాంశంగా కాకుండా జీవన విధానంలో భాగంగా చేసుకోవాలని విద్యార్థులకు సూచించారు. తెలుగు భాష, సాహిత్యం, సంస్కృతిపై ఆసక్తిని పెంపొందించుకోవాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.

పద్య, గద్య పోటీల్లో విద్యార్థులు ఉత్సాహంగా పాల్గొని ప్రతిభను ప్రదర్శించారు. విజేతలకు ముఖ్య అతిథి చేతుల మీదుగా బహుమతులు అందజేశారు. అనంతరం ‘మా తెలుగు తల్లికి మల్లెపూదండ’ గీతాన్ని సమష్టిగా ఆలపించారు.

కళాశాల గ్రంథాలయ అధికారి డాక్టర్ లెంక సత్యవతి, లెఫ్టినెంట్ మజ్జి వరలక్ష్మి, సహాయ ఆచార్యులు శ్రీ గుంట్రెడ్డి రవి ప్రసాద్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహించారు. అధ్యాపకులు, గ్రంథాలయ సిబ్బంది, విద్యార్థులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

SITAM Students Shine at E-Kruthi 2026

Special Appreciation Award at IoT & AI Hardware Expo

Vizianagaram, August 30: Students of Satya Institute of Technology And Management, SITAM, Vizianagaram, showcased their technical talent at E-Kruthi 2026 – IoT & AI Hardware Project Expo, organised by the Department of Electrical Engineering and Institute Innovation Council of Andhra University on August 29, 2026. SITAM students received the Special Appreciation Award for their innovative project.

The expo was inaugurated by Andhra University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rajasekhar and Principal of the College of Engineering Dr. Venkata Subbaiah. Students from various colleges presented 32 innovative hardware designs based on Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things technologies.

SITAM third-year ECE students presented two projects — “Next Generation Touchless Control System using OpenCV” and “AI-Enabled Smart Home Automation & Monitoring System using IoT.” The Smart Home project was particularly appreciated by the judges for its innovative concept, technical ex*****on and practical applications.

The projects were developed by M. Haima, K. Srinivasa Rao, P. Akhil, CH. Animish Bhagavan, J. Tejeswara Varma, B. Harish, V. Navya Sri and K. Pushpa.

The students’ achievement was appreciated by SITAM Director Dr. Majji Sashibhushana Rao and Principal Dr. Ramamurthy. They congratulated the students and faculty for their dedication, creativity, teamwork and technical excellence, stating that the recognition would encourage students to pursue innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
