Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering, a renowned college in the North Gujarat Region which is managed by Nootan Serva Vidyalaya Kelvani Mandal celebrated Virtual Alumni Meet due to current Covid-19 pandemic Situation on 21st November, 2020, Saturday. Shri Prakashbhai Patel, President and Chairman of Sankalchand Patel University who gave his blessing to the alumni and wished them for a bright future. Dr. V. K. Srivastava, Provost, Sankalchand Patel University asked alumni to provide necessary guidance to the current students in the research project under the 'Student Start-up & Innovation Policy (SSIP) at The Sankalchand Patel University and also told the alumni to make their necessary contribution to the inclusion of The Sankalchand Patel University in the top ten universities in the country. Dr. D. J. Shah, Chairman of Alumni Association and Principal of Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering who laid emphasis on the teaching-learning process which was benefited to the current students by the expertise of the Alumni and their active involvement to cater their mentorship among the students to acquaint them with the industry ready skill-sets which in turn enable the students to be absorbed by the industry. Further, he suggested to organize the "Memorial Lecture Series" from the alumni. Further, he called upon the Alumni to start a local chapter of alumni in his own city and assured all possible assistance from the institute in this process. Prof D. H. Patel, Member Secretary of the Alumni Association, informed to all about the purpose and functions of the association. Many students from India and from other countries of the world like The U.S.A., Canada, Australia, New Zealand along with current students and professors participated in this Virtual Alumni Meet. At the end of the Virtual Alumni Meet Prof Dhruv H. Patel delivered a Vote of Thanks.
Shri Prakashbhai S. Patel, the chairman of the institute and Dr. D. J. Shah, Technical Director has provided necessary guidance and support to make this Virtual Alumni Meet a success. Prof D. H. Patel, other staff members and students had also contributed to make this event successful.
