Luke’s Minority Educational Society based at Visakhapatnam was formed as a non-profitable service organization. Dr. Peterson M Luke, in response to his high calling, was totally committed to the service of humanity, especially for the poor, sick and the suffering. To support his altruistic mission, he needed paramedical support, which led him to the thought of establishing paramedical institutions.

Cancer Awareness Walk – 2026

Students from Smt. Vijaya Luke College of Nursing actively participated in the Cancer Awareness Walk in the presence of Sri Satya Kumar Yadav, Hon’ble Minister of Health, Family Welfare and Medical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, along with St. Luke’s, and in the esteemed presence of Sri Shanka Brata Bagchi, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Visakhapatnam.

Our student nurses took this meaningful opportunity to visit Government and Corporate Hospitals—where they learn to serve the sick and suffering—and to present Christmas cakes to the medical fraternity.

Our students of Luke’s have been invited to administer the HPV vaccination to girl children of police personnel at the Police Barracks, Visakhapatnam, in the presence of the Commissioner of Police.

The programme, organised by Lions Club Vizag and Chaitanya Sravanthi in collaboration with NATCO Trust, was inaugurated on December 13th, 2025, and will continue on December 14th, 2025.
