The EAGLE wing is conducting extensive awareness programs to safeguard the youth of Andhra Pradesh from the menace of G***a. In this context, Sri Ake Ravikrishna, IPS, IGP of EAGLE, announced that a special campaign bearing the slogan "G***ai Vaddu Bro – Chess Aadu Bro" has been launched on the sidelines of the Andhra Pradesh State Open & Girls Under-11 Chess Championships 2025-26.
These chess championships, being held on May 9 and 10, 2026, at BVK Junior College in Visakhapatnam, are being jointly organized by the All Visakhapatnam Chess Association and the Andhra Chess Association, under the aegis of the Mani Chess Academy. EAGLE is utilizing sports like chess—which foster a spirit of sportsmanship among children and contribute to their mental development—to raise awareness and encourage them to stay away from g***a.
On this occasion, he urged the public to immediately report any suspicious g***a-related activities to the EAGLE toll-free number, 1972. He also issued a call for every individual to actively participate in the collective effort to build a g***a-free society.
