Celebrating the spirit of Ugadi! 🎉 May this festive season bring you joy, peace, and fulfilment.

The Department of Zoology organized a guest lecture by Smt. G. Mangamma, Curator of the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park in Visakhapatnam, on March 9, 2026. The talk focused on the urgent need for wildlife conservation to ensure ecological balance, as well as animal adaptation programs, animal education, and research for sustainable tourism.

The lecture was followed by an active interaction session with undergraduate life sciences students. Dr. G. Madhu Kumar, Secretary and Correspondent, generously contributed to the Animal Donation Fund.

Dr. G.S.K. Chakravarty, Principal of the college, felicitated Smt. G. Mangamma on behalf of the management. The program was organized by Dr. P. Surekha, Vice Principal; Dr. B. Sailaja, Head of the Zoology Department; and Dr. P. Kiran Kumari, acting as program coordinators. The event concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from faculty and students in the life sciences.
