Our Teachers’ Day celebration began with a traditional welcome, followed by delightful surprise performances lovingly prepared by students, fun-filled games, thoughtful gifts and delicious treats for both teachers and children.

What made the celebration truly special was that the entire event was beautifully organised by the parents of Grade 5. 💐

Tiny Nest, Huge Mystery! 🕵️‍♂️🪹

Our Grade 3 detectives made an incredible discovery in the school garden—a delicate, fallen cup nest! But the biggest surprise wasn't just who built it, but what they used to keep it together.

Look closely at those white outer walls: that isn't cotton or paper, it’s pure spider silk! 🕸️✨

Local birds in Kodagu, like flycatchers and fantails, act as nature's ultimate engineers. They carefully collect sticky cobwebs to wrap around their nests. This creates a waterproof, ultra-strong "super-glue" that keeps the structure anchored to wind-blown branches.

Even cooler? Because spider silk is naturally stretchy, the nest actually expands as the baby chicks grow bigger and chubbier! 🐣

Don't worry, our young investigators checked—this tiny villa was completely empty and safely vacated after the baby birds flew off.

Stay curious, keep exploring, and remember to protect our amazing feathered friends! 🌿🐦

Future Citizens in Action!

Our Grades 6, 7, and 8 students recently took a fascinating field trip to the Ponnampet police station!

It wasn’t just a walkthrough—our students got a firsthand look at how our local heroes keep the community safe. From learning how a police station operates to watching a live Walkie-Talkie demonstration, visiting the evidence storage area and the significance of the police insignia it was an eye-opening experience.

Crucially, the officers also conducted a vital awareness session on the ill effects of drugs and the importance of making healthy, safe choices.

A huge thank you to the police personnel of Ponnampet Police Station for their time, warmth, and for inspiring our students to be responsible citizens!
