From the bottom of our hearts
Precious stones available in this world put laid along with ordinary pebbles available everywhere in the earth. Negligibly marginal number of them are identified, cleaned and polished to shine as diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald and all other precious stones. Ironically huge number of precious stones lie as pebbles even today. Similarly there were many people who could shine as scientists, sportsman, businessmen, politicians and so on, had their potential been identified and polished. Even in today’s world huge number of rural diamonds remains as pebbles when their counterparts in cities and developed countries shine like gold coated ornaments with lesser mettle and higher polish.
Our entire team of thapasya had similar experience. During our education we thought we are worthless. After we chose to work at normal jobs, along with so called precious stones carrying huge face value we realised that they had the capacity like pebbles but shined in life because we did not compete with them. Our self esteem, communication, initiatives, practical approach, performance in pressure, risking abilities was not bloomed during our education unlike those shining pebbles.
Actually even when we were students, we had all chances to shine within the locus of available education and social systems. The curriculum was same for us and those were groomed well. Our parents, relatives, elders, teachers and all well wishers advised us, but we did not understand them at right time. We considered them as rituals. All those efforts did not inspire us from within. There is a famous saying if you convince a man against his will, he is of the same opinion still. The system forced to convince us that we can shine, but we were not willing to believe that at right time.
It took many years to realise our potentials. We clearly realised that we tried to dive into deeper side of the swimming pool (like all India exams, exams for elite educational institutions etc.) by reading a dozen of books and viewing a score of videos on swimming provided to us in our classes. Imagine! If anyone can swim in deeper side, directly from books, their names should appear in the next day’s newspapers isn’t it. Yes you are right, “in the obituary column”. But obituary of our “shining in life” had been already written by the time we realised ourselves and become bald heads.
Bald heads reflect the shining of stars, but are too old to become shining stars. The obvious alternative was to remain bald heads in our comfort zones or to groom shining stars by investing our savings, family comforts and financial geopodry. We chose the risky option of preparing students as winners in this competitive world through a small school in a rural area.
We did all sorts of preliminary exercises like: data collection, all India study tours, analysis with a strong background of experiences obtained from eminent experts in the field of education, psychology, finance management marketing management, conducting model classes in various parts of India, etc., for this venture. With the data and experiences built by us decided and were successful in establishing an institute in Nadikeri village, south Kodagu, Karnataka state with lots of positive expectation and experiences. There was immense support by our friends, well wishers, relatives and authorities, to whom we are thankful throughout.
During the process we practically experienced a saying “ if truth, you and god are together even against the entire world, you win the majority”. It is also my experience that when the intention is good, and its benefit goes to society, support follows from every corner. I am sure we are with our mission and support of you as parent/ student would be with us as well. Pray god for giving us a chance for grooming pebbles to diamonds that are useful to the society and mankind.
