💐 Freshers’ Day Celebration 2026

💐The programme featured a graceful Welcome Dance, Lighting of the Lamp, and an inspiring Presidential Address by the Principal. Students showcased their talents through group and solo dances, singing, light music, and fashion ramp walks. The Freshers’ Gift Distribution and DJ Session added joy and excitement to the celebration.

💐All teaching and non-teaching staff members and students actively participated in the celebration and contributed to making the event vibrant, joyful and memorable.

📢 Nasha Mukti Pratigya (Addiction-Free India Pledge) Awareness & Pledge Programme

✨The NSS Unit of E.S. Arts and Science College (Co-Education), Villupuram, organised the Nasha Mukti Pratigya (Addiction-Free India Pledge) Awareness & Pledge Programme on 18.08.2026 in association with the Brahma Kumaris Centre.

💐Chief Guest Address was delivered by Ms. BK Deepika, Brahma Kumaris Centre, Villupuram, who shared an inspiring message on the harmful effects of drugs, self-discipline, and the importance of leading an addiction-free life. Students and faculty members collectively took the Addiction-Free India Pledge and reaffirmed their commitment to building a drug-free society.

🇮🇳 The Unit of National Service Scheme (NSS) proudly organized the 80th Independence Day Celebration on 15 August 2026 at 8:00 AM at the Office Premises, with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. The Principal hoisted the National Flag, marking the occasion with pride and honour.

🇮🇳 The celebration paid tribute to our freedom fighters and highlighted the values of unity, patriotism, social responsibility, and selfless service. All teaching and non-teaching staff members actively participated in the event and joined together to commemorate this proud national occasion.

📢 Mass Anti-Drug Awareness Programme

✨ The Anti-Drug Committee, E.S. Arts and Science College (Co-Ed), Villupuram, organized a Mass Anti-Drug Awareness Programme on 11.08.2026 at the College Auditorium, followed by a Human Chain Activity – “Say No to Drugs”.

✨ The programme included the Mass Anti-Drug Pledge, Street Play/Mime, Prize Distribution for winners of the Poster Making, Drawing, Quiz and Essay Writing Competitions, and Participation Certificate Distribution. 70 participation certificates were provided to students. A total of 417 students participated in the programme, reaffirming their commitment towards a Drug-Free Campus and Drug-Free Tamil Nadu.

📢 Mass Anti-Drug Pledge

✨ The Anti-Drug Committee of E.S. Arts and Science College (Co-Ed), Villupuram, facilitated the participation of 50 students in the District-Level Mass Anti-Drug Pledge Programme held at Government Law College, Villupuram, on 11.08.2026

✨ The programme was graced by the presence of the District Collector Thiru. S. Sheik Abdul Rahaman, I.A.S.. Students from our institution actively participated in the programme and took the Mass Anti-Drug Pledge through the online session led by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, reaffirming their commitment to a Drug-Free Tamil Nadu.

Topic:- Career Opportunities in Biotechnology

✨ She shared her academic and professional experiences in Biotechnology. She explained various career opportunities in research and applied sciences.

✨ Students actively participated and interacted with the speaker. She provided guidance on higher studies, job preparation, and career development. The session was informative and motivational for the students.

📢 IBM Skills Build Student Development Program

✨ The program focused on enhancing students' technical knowledge and employability skills through interactive learning sessions. The resource persons shared valuable insights on industry trends, career readiness, and professional development. The event was organized following the IBM Skills Build and NASSCOM Foundation guidelines. More than 280 students from various disciplines actively participated in the program. Students gained practical exposure and industry-oriented knowledge through the sessions. The program encouraged active learning and career preparedness. It concluded successfully with positive feedback from the participants.

📢 Emergency Drill

✨ The National Service Scheme (NSS) and the Sports Club of E.S. Arts and Science College (Co-Education), Villupuram, organized an Emergency Drill on 7th August 2026 in the College Campus, under the guidance of the principal.

✨ The drill was coordinated by the NSS and Sports Club volunteers, and involved a simulated evacuation exercise covering fire safety, emergency exit routes and quick assembly procedures. Students were guided on staying calm, following evacuation signals, and assisting one another during an emergency, helping build practical awareness of safety protocols on campus.

✨ Students and staff members of the college actively participated in the drill and gained practical knowledge on emergency preparedness, safe evacuation, and prompt response during unforeseen situations.

📢 Intensive Registration and Awareness Drive on the MY Bharat Portal

✨ The National Service Scheme (NSS) of E.S. Arts and Science College (Co-Education), Villupuram, organized an Intensive Registration and Awareness Drive on the MY Bharat Portal on 7th August 2026 in the College Campus.

✨ The programme featured Mr. G. Thambi Prabakaran, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Villupuram, as the Resource Person. He explained the objectives of the MY Bharat Portal, guided students through the online registration process, and highlighted the various volunteering, skill-development, and leadership opportunities available to registered youth.
