✨ Theivanai Ammal College of Education (TACE), Villupuram, successfully organized a Working with Community Programme at Thumbur Village (28.07.2026) as part of its extension and community outreach activities.

✨ Around 50 NSS student volunteers enthusiastically participated in the programme with the objective of promoting social responsibility, community service, and active citizenship. The students actively engaged with the local community through various service-oriented activities, creating awareness on cleanliness, health, environmental protection, and social well-being.

✨ The programme provided valuable opportunities for the student-teachers to interact with the villagers, understand community needs, and develop leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Their wholehearted participation reflected the true spirit of the NSS motto, "Not Me, But You."

📢 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking – Awareness Programme

✨ Theivanai Ammal College of Education (TACE), Villupuram, organized an Awareness Programme on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on 25.06.2026. The programme aimed to create awareness among B.Ed. student teachers about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy, responsible, and drug-free life.

✨ The programme was graced by Mrs. V. Vasugi, District Child Protection Office, Villupuram, as the Chief Guest. In her inspiring address, she explained the physical, psychological, social, and legal consequences of drug abuse and emphasized the vital role of students and future teachers in creating awareness and preventing substance abuse in society. She encouraged the students to make informed decisions, resist negative peer pressure, and become ambassadors for a drug-free society.

✨ Dr. S. Murugan, Principal, faculty members, and B.Ed. students actively participated in the programme. The awareness session concluded with a pledge by all participants to stay away from drugs and to promote a safe, healthy, and addiction-free community. The programme was highly informative and inspired the students to become responsible citizens committed to building a drug-free nation.

🧘‍♀️ தெய்வானை அம்மாள் கல்வியியல் கல்லூரியில் சர்வதேச யோகா தினம் 19.06.2026 அன்று சிறப்பாகக் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது.

🧘‍♀️ இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களாக திரு. ப. உதயகுமார், தலைவர், மனவளக்கலை மன்றம், விழுப்புரம் திரு. ச. பொன். சமுத்திரக்கனி, துணைத் தலைவர், விழுப்புரம் மாவட்ட யோகாசன சங்கம் விழுப்புரம். திருமதி. Dr.முத்துலட்சுமி, பேராசிரியர், மனவளக்கலை மன்றம், விழுப்புரம், மற்றும் திருமதி. க. கலைசெல்வி, பேராசிரியர் மனவளக்கலை மன்றம், விழுப்புரம் ஆகியோர் கலந்து கொண்டு யோகாவின் முக்கியத்துவம், உடல் மற்றும் மனநல மேம்பாட்டில் அதன் பங்கு குறித்து மாணவர்களிடம் உரையாற்றினர்.

🧘‍♀️ கல்லூரி முதல்வர் முனைவர் S. முருகன் அவர்கள் முன்னிலையில் நடைபெற்ற சர்வதேச யோகா தின விழாவில் பேராசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவியர்கள் உற்சாகத்துடன் பங்கேற்று யோகாசனப் பயிற்சிகளை மேற்கொண்டனர். தினசரி வாழ்வில் யோகாவை கடைப்பிடிப்பதன் மூலம் ஆரோக்கியமான வாழ்க்கை முறையை உருவாக்க முடியும் என்பதை பேராசிரியர்கள் வலியுறுத்தினர்.

🧘‍♀️ இந்நிகழ்ச்சி மாணவர்களிடையே உடல்நலம், மனநலம் மற்றும் ஒழுக்கமான வாழ்க்கை குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தியதுடன், யோகாவின் அவசியத்தை உணர்த்தும் வகையில் பயனுள்ள நிகழ்வாக அமைந்தது. இறுதியாக நன்றியுரையுடன் அமர்வு நிறைவுற்றது.

📢 Fire Extinguishing Methods Awareness Programme

✨ The Fire and Rescue Service Station, Villupuram, jointly with Theivanai Ammal College of Education and Theivanai Ammal College for Women, organized a Fire Extinguishing Methods Awareness Programme on 27.05.2026 at 12.30 PM at Thumbur Village.

✨ The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Mrs. R. Jamunarani, Assistant District Officer, Fire and Rescue Service Station, Villupuram, along with her team members. The resource team provided valuable awareness on fire safety measures, emergency rescue procedures, and different methods of handling fire accidents effectively.

✨ A live demonstration on the usage of fire extinguishers and safety techniques was conducted for the benefit of students and the public. The programme created awareness about fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and public safety among the participants.

✨ The students actively participated in the programme and gained practical knowledge regarding fire safety and rescue operations.

📢 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Awareness Rally

✨ Theivanai Ammal College of Education and Theivanai Ammal College for Women jointly organized a Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Awareness Rally on 27.05.2026 at Thumbur Village at 10.00 AM with the active participation of students and faculty members.

✨ The programme was graced by the 💐Chief Guest, Mrs. K. Panjavaranam, President, Thumbur Village, who appreciated the students’ involvement and emphasized the importance of achieving Sustainable Development Goals for building a healthy and sustainable society.

✨ During the rally, students carried awareness placards and delivered messages related to environmental protection, cleanliness, health, quality education, gender equality, and sustainable community development throughout the village. The programme created awareness among the public and encouraged social responsibility towards sustainable development.

✨ Together, we can achieve the Sustainable Development Goals for a better future.

📢 Awareness Programme on Environment & Climate Change

✨ Tamil Nadu EIACP PC HUB, Department of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Tamil Nadu, jointly with Theivanai Ammal College of Education and Theivanai Ammal College for Women, organized an Awareness Programme on 26.05.2026 at Thumbur Village, Villupuram District.

✨ The programme was graced by Mr. A. Logeshwar, Pasumai Thozhar, EIACP, Department of Environment and Climate Change, Villupuram, Mr. Jameel Ahamadhu, TN EIACP, Chennai, and Mrs. Ishwariya, TN EIACP, Chennai.

✨ As part of the programme, NSS students actively participated in an awareness seminar focusing on environmental protection, climate change, and sustainable living practices. The speakers highlighted the importance of preserving natural resources and creating environmental awareness among the younger generation. The NSS volunteers also enthusiastically participated in a tree plantation programme at Thumbur Village to promote a greener and healthier environment. The programme successfully created awareness among the public and motivated students to take active responsibility in protecting nature and maintaining ecological balance.

💐Values and Peace Education

📚 The book Values and Peace Education, authored by Dr. S. Murugan, Principal of Theivanai Ammal College of Education, Villupuram, was officially released on 06.05.2026 by Mr. S. Senthilkumar, Chairman of ESSK Group of Institutions.

📚 The programme highlighted the importance of moral values, harmony, and peaceful living in the present educational scenario. Our Chairman, Mr. S. Senthilkumar, congratulated Dr. S. Murugan for his valuable academic contribution through the publication of the book.
