Barabelun - বড়বেলুন বড়বেলুন বর্ধমান জেলার বিখ্যাত গ্রাম Kali puja is famous here.

Village is very big, Kalimata is also very big-24 feet.During Kaali Pooja,most people who stay outside, come to home to not only celebrate the pooja but also to re-joice with relatives & old days friends and gets updated with the latest about the village life. So many Idols are being worshiped during the Kaali Pooja but two are very famous;- 1]BARA KALI(Bamun Para),2]CHOTO KALI(ROY PARA)
Till today goats are offered including a Buffalo(although many may not like it). Many of village people have shifted from the village but they try to come to their house atleast during the Pooja. The most notable thing is that , in Bengali culture- all the married women will go to their brother's home to celebrate BHAI-PHOTA occassion but in Barabelun brothers will come to their sisters' home to take PHOTA. A good number of students have reached to a great height in their life after having basic education from Barabelun Mohini Mohan Bidya Mandir.
