23-10-2023. My first talk as an international faculty at Salt Lake City, Utah. Feeling grateful to God and thankful to my family, teachers, well wishers and friends for all their support, encouragement and wishes. Humbled by the applause 👏 I received. Wearing my mom’s saree for the talk was the icing on the cake 🎂 .

A beautiful nest:
A lovely bird,Flew hither and thither
Brought the sticks,big & small
Built the nest, so strong
Tied little threads,with the sharp beak
Built a cozy home,laid eggs & made babies
Babies bid farewell & flew high
Mother bird left the nest to make one again
But the nest remains strong and beautiful
I look at it everyday in awe and admire the birds silent intellect
This beautiful nest has been in our balcony for 2 yrs now- It stood the rain, shine and winds .Every time I look at it, I am in awe. I am pleasantly surprised and many questions flash my mind -
1. How did it select such an apt place - junctions point of 4 branches ?
2. How did it choose such beautiful twigs or sticks - so curved, so uniform and so slender ?
3. How could it weave the nest so beautiful In shape, so stable in strength and so practical to use ?
4. There are few threads tied for few twigs to the tree branches -that thought process surprises me How did it collect the thread, tie it with just the beak ?
Hats off to their silent intelligence
