On November 29th, 2025, The STEM Makers team proudly represented Vijayawada,  at the VEX IQ Robotics Competition (VIQRC) South-India Regionals held in Bengaluru. Competing against some of the most experienced teams in the region, our students showcased not just their robot, but their creativity, perseverance, and ability to learn under pressure. By the end of the event, the team secured a commendable 10th position out of 15 teams from across India and earned qualification for the VIQRC Nationals to be held in Mumbai on January 17th, 2026. Congratulations to the team.

This achievement marks a significant milestone not only for the team but also for the emerging maker culture The STEM Makers is building in Vijayawada.

Over a period of 2 days, a second class kid built this detailed model of fighter plane using screw driver, spanner, nuts, bolts, multiple components using a 4 page long instruction manual. Beyond the joy of having assembled it, that the kid experiences, they are learning sub conscious skills in the process, including sitting tolerance, focus, following instructions, needed for the process in a joyful environment.

Ms. Asha from The STEM Makers delivered a keynote address on "Education and Skill Development" as part of "International Women's Summit" on 4th April at KLEF. Citing examples of how Skill Development was integrated with mainstream curriculum at an individual team level and state run program level, she created awareness about the human element in skill development and its impact.
