The Department of Commerce, A. S. Patil College of Commerce(Autonomous), Vijayapura, organized a Special Lecture on “Course Registration in UUCMS” for the B.Com. First-Year students. The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness among students about the UUCMS (Unified University and College Management System) and guiding them through the course registration process.

The programme was presided over by Dr. S. B. Kamati, Principal.Dr. Bharati Math, Controller of Examinations (CoE), graced the programme with her presence. Prof. Praful Hakkapakki was the resource person for the special lecture.

Prof. Praful Hakkapakki explained the course registration process in UUCMS in a simple and practical manner. He provided detailed guidance on logging into the UUCMS portal, selecting appropriate courses, entering the required details, verifying the information, and completing the registration process. He also highlighted the importance of carefully checking the selected courses and completing the registration within the prescribed time.

The lecture was particularly beneficial for the B.Com. First-Year students, as it helped them understand the UUCMS course registration procedure and avoid common mistakes while registering their courses. The students actively participated in the session and clarified their doubts with the resource person.

The programme was coordinated by Prof. Hanumesh Nayak, who ensured the smooth conduct of the lecture. The special lecture was informative and useful, providing students with practical knowledge and confidence to complete their course registration through UUCMS successfully.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to the Principal, Controller of Examinations, resource person, faculty members, and students for their valuable contribution and active participation.

The Department of Computer Applications, organised "AAVIRBHAVA" freshers programme to welcome the new batch of BCA students.

The programme was graced by Chief Guest Dr. M. M. Mantur, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Applications, Government First Grade College for Women and PG Centre, Jamkhandi. Prof. Veena More, HoD, BCA Department, welcomed the Chief Guest and highlighted the significance of the occasion.

The programme began with a formal welcome by Pavitra Lingadalli, followed by the inauguration through lamp lighting, felicitation and batch distribution.

In his address, Dr. M. M. Mantur emphasised the importance, scope and career opportunities of BCA, encouraging the new students to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence for a successful future in the field of technology.

Principal Dr. S. B. Kamati explained the significance of Aavirbhava and Udhyambhava, inspiring students to embrace growth, take initiative and develop leadership qualities.

The event also featured prize distribution and student interactions, creating an enthusiastic and memorable beginning for the new batch. Priyadarshini Patil proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members and students.

BLDEA’s A. S. Patil College of Commerce (Autonomous), Vijayapura, in association with S.B.Arts and K.C.P Science College, Vijayapura celebrated Independence Day with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. The programme was organized to commemorate the historic significance of India’s independence and to instill a sense of patriotism, unity and responsibility among the students.

The function was presided over by Dr. S. B. Kamati, Principal, A. S. Patil College of Commerce, Vijayapura. Dr. Anil Naik, Prof. S. A. Patil and Prof. C. B. Patil were present on the occasion and graced the programme with their presence.

The celebration provided an opportunity for students and staff to remember the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and reflect upon their responsibilities towards the nation. The gathering also emphasized the values of freedom, democracy, unity and national integrity.

The Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyan – Awareness and Oath Programme was organised by NSS Unit 1 & 2 and Youth Red Cross (YRC) of B.L.D.E.A.’s A. S. Patil College of Commerce (Autonomous), Vijayapura, in collaboration with Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
The programme was organised with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse and motivating them to adopt a healthy, responsible and drug-free lifestyle. The programme focused on the importance of individual responsibility and collective efforts in building a Nasha Mukta Bharat.
Rajyogini B. K. Saroja, the Chief Guest, addressed the gathering and highlighted the harmful consequences of drug addiction on an individual's physical health, mental well-being, family life and future. She motivated the students to stay away from drugs and other addictive substances and encouraged them to become ambassadors of the drug-free movement.
As part of the programme, the Chief Guest administered the Nasha Mukti Oath (Drug-Free Life Pledge) to the students. The students repeated the oath and pledged to remain away from drugs and contribute towards creating a drug-free society. The oath-taking activity created a strong sense of responsibility and commitment among the participants.
The programme provided an important platform for students to understand the dangers of substance abuse and the need for awareness, self-discipline and healthy choices. The collaborative efforts of NSS Units 1 & 2, YRC, Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya and the Narcotics Control Bureau contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.

The Gymkhana Inauguration Ceremony was held on 12 August 2026 with great enthusiasm, marking the commencement of various sports and cultural activities for the academic year. The programme was graced by Chief Guest Lt. Col. Ajay Singh, Administrative Officer, 36 Battalion NCC, Vijayapura.

Principal Dr. S. B. Kamati presided over the programme. Dr. Bharati Math, Controller of Examination and BCom Coordinator, Asst. Prof. Hanumesh Nayak, Gymkhana Chairman, Sachin Magari, General Secretary, B.Com, and Spoorti Jiddagi,General Secretary, BCA, were present on the dais.

During the ceremony, all student representatives of various Gymkhana committees were formally presented with their badges and took the oath, committing themselves to their responsibilities and to promoting discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship and cultural activities.

The workshop was conducted by the esteemed Resource Person, Prof. Sharanabasappa P. Sajjan, Assistant Professor, Government First Grade College for Women, Jamkhandi. He provided valuable insights into the effective use of Artificial Intelligence tools in teaching, learning, content creation and academic practices.

BLDEA's A.S. Patil College of Commerce (Autonomous), Vijayapura, under the IQAC Initiative, through the Career Guidance & Placement Cell and the Department of Commerce, successfully organized a Workshop on Resume Building.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries and participants. The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Dr. S. B. Kamati, Principal, Dr. Bharati Math, Head, Department of Commerce, and Prof. Vinay Darbi, IQAC Coordinator.
The resource person, Mr. Akshay Mahajan, Assistant Professor, BMS College of Management, Bangalore, delivered an insightful session on the importance of preparing professional and impactful resumes. He explained the essential components of an effective resume, common mistakes to avoid, the significance of tailoring resumes for different job roles, and techniques for creating ATS-friendly resumes. He also shared practical tips on presenting academic achievements, skills, internships, certifications, and projects in a professional manner.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating and clarifying their queries related to resume preparation, internships, and placement opportunities.
