One of the most important ways to develop your skills and improve your employability as a software engineer is to work on side projects. These can run the gamut from open source projects to helpful tools and scripts, to fun toys.

While some of our colleagues always seem to be working on a new side project, it’s not so easy for the rest of us. We want to work on a side project but struggle to come up with a good idea.

If you are computer Science Graduate who's confused as to what are the career opportunity Or where can i go with this..

Here's a list of job titles you can run for -

1.Java/C++ developers

This is the basic language used in several programs and other software developers .

2.Mobile app development/Android development

This are the guys who make application for the mobile devices basically for android & ios.

3.Web development

These are front-End ,Back-End and Full stack i.e., Both Front & Back developers.

One thing that Web development is known for is their large chunk of languages that you have to learn in order to keep an edge in the domain

4.Game development

These are the girls & guys who make games,it can be 3D or 2D..

5.Cybersecurity

These are the developers who take care of any attack or malware that your side may interact with

6.Information Technology

These are basically Data Analyst and networking guys .IT in its own a stream that is studied in different schools

Cut out all the bu****it Dave is talking about all his personal life and examples..

Dave wants to answer a clear and concise question that every programmer/software developer ask about -

"How much he/she worth?"

"what are the key factors that will decide how much he/she should be paid as a software developer?"

First thing that he request us to skip watching all the BS on quora and other websites.Instead ask a friend who is in the same region as you and with a similar background as yours

Second thing he said that conversation or that interview with their boss will determine how they'll be paid for the next 1-2 yrs.So be prepared for that interview and horn your negotiation power

Third thing he recommend is to develop a habit of asking for a raise when you feel like one.This is same as negotiating your salary as a developer

He finally conclude that with experience you can increase your pay from time to time

Now i want you to ask two question from yourself-
Q1.How does this apply to me?
Q2.How can i take right action?

Today jhon will talk about our brain. We all have powerful brain with unlimited power. But... We end up using only part of it.

Do you know why most programmers are poor in spite of being highly paid among their colleagues ?
