Andrews is a co-educational school run by Andrews Educational Trust. It is named after John Nevin Andrews, a great intellectual, missionary, writer, editor, and scholar whose life had greatly inspired the founders of this institution. Back in 1983, Vickramasingapuram was a small town with a very low literacy rate. Despite the fact that there were a sizable number of schools functioning in the hear

t of the town, the founders of Andrews decided to start a new school with English as the medium of instruction, the first of its kind in the entire town. The vision of Andrews is to give a quality education that can harmoniously develop the mental physical and spiritual faculties of a child. Its motive is to provide students fr-+.-om villages, a rigorous academic standard par excellence. At first, the school was started in a house, converted into a preschool near three Lamps stop, Vikramasingapuram. In the year 1990, Its branch was started in East Kottaram where it metamorphosed into a full-fledged matriculation higher secondary School. "Who can despise the day of small beginnings?". Looking back, we could see the ups and downs in its timeline graph. The path was rugged and obstacles were many but we pressed on to perfection. Now, Andrews is well developed with 1000 + students and over 50 + qualified teachers. Situated on the bank of river Thamirabarani surrounded by green carpeted mountain slopes, lush green paddy fields, reflected by the crystal clear waters of the winding canals, Andrews is a Heaven for every visitor.
