Dear Students,
Greetings from MIC.
We are announcing the launch of our First Certification event for this Year.
It will be held as a Microsoft Triplet event that includes MTA workshop – MTA certification Exam and a marathon App development event – the YAPPON 2014.

Benefits:
· Clearing the MTA certification is a pre-requisite for interns / placements in Microsoft through ed-vantage Program

· Certificates for participating in the workshop and Yappon event

· Best apps will be awarded after the completion of the Yappon event



Dates: MTA workshops - September 13, 14 and 18 to 21 (six days); MTA exam / Yappon event – will be announced after the workshop

Time: Workshop to be held from 10 AM to 5 PM on all days.

Venue: SJT building MIC labs and smart class rooms (Specific venue will be communicated after the completion of the registrations)

Certification course: MTA in dot net fundamentals using C #

Registration fees for the Triplet event: 2500 INR per participant (it includes workshop training cost / exam voucher fees / yappon registration)

On Duty will be provided for the Triplet event.

CIRCULAR

Sub.: Attendance during Riviera period

Riviera ‘14 is scheduled between 6th and 9th February 2014. Though these days are non-instructional days, it is compulsory for all students to mark their attendance at their School/ Programme Offices on 6th and again on 7th February 2014 (Thursday and Friday) separately. All students must visit their School/ Programme Offices anytime between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. with their ID cards, on both Thursday and Friday to mark their attendance. Attendance will be entered by School/ Programme secretaries for respective Programme students for those two days, separately and independently. This attendance will be counted as ‘Present’ against all registered courses of 6th and 7th February 2014 respectively. Necessary software support to record attendances on both days will be provided by the Academics Office. School Deans are requested to make necessary arrangements with their staff and Secretaries to record student attendances on both these days. More secretaries may be pressed into service in case of programmes having large number of students.

This attendance will be included under the minimum 75% requirement of a Theory/ Lab course. Hence failure to mark attendance will be counted under the 25%.

The Management has declared holiday for the University on 13th Jan 2014 [Monday] in addition to the following holidays already declared.

15.01.2014 [Wednesday] Thiruvalluvar Day

Further, 18th Jan.2014 [Saturday] will be a University working day in lieu of 13th Jan.2014, which has been declared as holiday. Monday time table will be followed on 18th Jan.2014.
