This is the official page of TEC-VIT - The Electronics Club of VIT University, Vellore. Our passion and our focus is primarily on electronics.

At The Electronics Club (TEC) of VIT, we believe that knowledge is not just to attain, but also to impart. Education is not just about reading big fat textbooks or memorizing a zillion formulae; that is what we call information. Education begins when we begin to experience the things that we study, and th

at is what TEC strives to provide. Through regular theoretical and Hands-on sessions, TEC supports students who are passionate about electronics and helps them in exploring new avenues of imagination. TEC is working on a number of projects, and is always open to more innovative and inspiring ideas. We believe that the success of any organization depends on the unity amongst the people in it. TEC is a well-knit group of 81 members and through regular group discussions and meetings, the smooth working of the club is ensured. Our intense work is well complemented with some fun. This is done by organizing a few trips and parties round the year. Our motto of helping others learn is further strengthened as the seniors act as mentors for the juniors. In addition to this, several sessions are also kept for the junior members of the club that enable them further to achieve their dreams. The Electronics Club of VIT does not tell you what your goals should be, but surely helps you to move closer to them.

People with engineering backgrounds have gone on to work for many tech companies, while a lot of them have had extremely successful endeavours in management, design, art, and academic-related sectors. But even the best and the brightest require the right motivation and guidance. Our future can be a scary prospect if we lack key pieces of information. Drug abuse is a major problem among today's youth. Around 20% of people in the age group of 14–25 are victims of some kind of substance abuse.

We, the youth, are the future. Hence, informing and encouraging the youth to adopt a healthier lifestyle is necessary to guarantee a bright future.

TEC is proud to conduct a workshop that educates youngsters about substance abuse, in collaboration with Vaishali Ganesan, a renowned Counsellor affiliated with Hibiscus Foundation.
