If he's tired, he can rest.
If she's tired, she keeps going.

Because the baby still needs feeding.
Because the crying doesn't wait.
Because motherhood doesn't come with an off switch.

He can be exhausted and step back.
She can be exhausted and still be expected to show up.

Not because she's stronger — but because the responsibility quietly settles on her shoulders.

Night after night.
Feeding after feeding.
Sacrifice after sacrifice.

So to the partners reading this:
See her. Thank her. Give her rest when you can.
Take the baby after feeds. Let her sleep without guilt.

Because the woman beside you is choosing sacrifice over comfort again and again, and asking for nothing but love, support and understanding. 🤍🙏🏻

Before I became a mom, I barely noticed moms.
I never really thought about what they were carrying –
physically, mentally, emotionally.
They were just part of the background of everyday life,
pushing strollers, juggling bags, and holding tiny hands.
I didn't see the weight behind their tired smiles.

But now, they're all I see.

When I see a mom with a newborn,
I see someone who's just been through the storm of labor – still healing, still aching, and running on no sleep –
yet somehow radiating love that burns brighter than exhaustion.

When I see a mom chasing toddlers,
I see the exhaustion behind her smile.
The endless snacks, the messes, the meltdowns, and the small victories that no one else notices.
I see her trying to hold it all together – the laughter, the patience, and the pieces of herself that sometimes get lost in the chaos.

And when I see a mom with older kids,
I think about all the chapters still ahead of me.
The growing up, the letting go, and the love that shifts and stretches but never fades.
I wonder if she ever feels like herself again, or if 'herself' has simply evolved into someone wiser, stronger, and infinitely more tender.

No matter what stage she's in,
I feel this silent connection –
because now, I know.

I know what it's like to have your heart live outside your body,
to give everything you have and somehow find more,
to feel overwhelmed and grateful all at once,
and to be both completely changed and more yourself than ever before.

Before I became a mom, I didn’t see them.
But now – they’re all I see.

Motherhood is the only job where you’re expected to work 24/7 with no breaks, no training, and no paycheck—yet the love makes it all worth it.
