B.K.S English High School &Junior College Bassien kerela samajam came into exsistence in yrar 1960 with initiative of few keralities.

BKS ENGLISH HIGH SCHOOL WAS STARTED IN 1986.STARTING FROM JR.KG TILL SSC, NOW SCHOOL HAS BEEN PROMOTED TO HSC INCLUDING SCIENCE COMMERCE AND ARTS. BEST QUALIFIED TEACHERS HAS BEEN PROVIDED TO STUDENTS WITH LIBRARY, COMPUTER ND AUDIO VISUAL FACILITY. IT HAS ALSO PROMOTED SPORTS ND ENCOURAGED ALL OTHER CAPABLITIES OF STUDENTS.

About BKS

Bassein Kerala Samajam came into being in the year 1960 with the initiative of few Keralites. The objective of the Samajam was to build a common platform for Malayalees irrespective of their caste, religion, economic or social status and also to look after the interests of the members and to interact socially and culturally with the local population.
In its fruitful existence of almost 50 years, the Samajam could give shape to a variety of activities for the benefit of the society by taking initiatives in:
Distributing the basic amenities like water, milk and kerosene, etc. to the people.
Encouraging the youth in sports and arranging volley ball tournament by inviting best teams from Mumbai.
Annual Cultural Programmes
An ayurvedic dispensary was started with free consultation
In 1972 BKS, in its pursuit of serving the society through education, started BKS English High School. The school has grown by leaps and bounds and now has a student strength of about 1400 students in an academic year.
In 2010 Samajam also started a Junior college for all streams.

The teacher’s job is to fill the students with their knowledge and present the material in a way that is interesting to the students. The teacher not only give the information and material to the student, but also make sure the technique they use allows the student to apply to their real life
It is indeed a great achievement that B.K.S has launched its own website. This easy connectivity will strengthen interactive relationship with each other.
It is a great opportunity for the ex-students to remain connected with their class fellows.
