Celebrating National Space Day 2026 at SVIT Vasad!

INSPIRING YOUNG MINDS TO REACH FOR THE STARS!

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering, SVIT Vasad, in collaboration with ISRO / Space Applications Centre (SAC), Ahmedabad, proudly celebrated National Space Day 2026 from 10–12 August 2026 through an exciting Solid Rocketry Hands-on Workshop, followed by an educational visit to VSSE, ISRO Ahmedabad.

From rocket fabrication and assembly to propulsion, ignition systems, and live rocket launching, students transformed theoretical concepts into hands-on aerospace learning.

An insightful session on “Launch Vehicles (Rockets)” by Shri Ravi Kumar Varma, Scientist-Engineer, ISRO, Ahmedabad, further enriched students with valuable insights into India’s space programme and career opportunities in the space sector.

The educational visit to Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition Centre (VSSE), ISRO Ahmedabad, gave students an inspiring glimpse into India’s remarkable journey in space science, launch vehicles, and satellite technology.

🚀 TWO-DAY IBM SKILLSBUILD – ADVENT GLE WORKSHOP | SVIT VASAD 🤖

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology (SVIT), Vasad, through its Center of Excellence, in collaboration with Edunet Foundation and IBM SkillsBuild, successfully organized a two-day IBM SkillsBuild – Advent GLE (Guided Learning Experience) Workshop on 17th & 18th August 2026.

The two-day workshop provided students with practical exposure to emerging technologies including Agentic AI, Cybersecurity, Quantum Computing, IBM watsonx.ai, IBM Cloud, AI-assisted Software Development, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation . The sessions emphasized hands-on learning, practical demonstrations, and project-based activities, where students worked on innovative projects such as the Nutrition Agent and RAG-based Recipe Generator Agent.

The sessions were conducted by Mr. Pawan Singh, Master Trainer – AI/ML, Edunet Foundation, whose interactive approach and expertise made the learning experience highly engaging and insightful.

🛡️ CYBER BULLYING AWARENESS SESSION | Think Before You Type

The Cyber Bullying Prohibited Cell, SVIT Vasad, organized a Cyber Bullying Awareness Session for SY Engineering Students on 21st August 2026 at the AERO Auditorium.

The session was conducted by Dr. Ajaysinh Rathod (HOD – CSD Department, SVIT Vasad) and Prof. Pradish Dadhania (Assistant Professor, IT Department, SVIT Vasad). Students were sensitized about cyberbullying, responsible social media use, digital footprints, online safety, and responsible digital behaviour.

📱 Students also participated in a post-session Cyber Safety Quiz to assess and reinforce their learning.

BuildWithFlutter | GDG on Campus SVIT

GDG on Campus SVIT successfully organized BuildWithFlutter, an engaging and beginner-friendly session exclusively for First-Year students on 12th August 2026.

GDG Core Team Members — Bhakti Modi, Aarav Shah & Jiya Bhadresa — conducted an engaging session on Flutter & FlutterFlow, covering app layouts, widgets, navigation, Firebase Authentication, data storage, and action flows.

Prof. Pradish Dadhania, Faculty Advisor, also guided students about GDG activities and opportunities to learn, participate, and grow through the community.

A great learning experience filled with enthusiasm and active participation!

🚀 Event Recap: Master the Basics of Git & GitHub! 🐙

The Skill Development Club, IT Department, SVIT Vasad, successfully hosted a hands-on workshop on Git & GitHub exclusively for our SY-IT students on 11th August 2026 at the IT Seminar Hall!

With 56 enthusiastic students in the house, the session covered:
✅Git installation & essential commands
✅ Creating & managing GitHub repositories
✅ Branching, merging & Pull Requests
✅ Collaborative coding best practices

A big shoutout to our session leads Deep Padhiyar (TY IT) and Tirth Rana (TY CE) for an amazing hands-on walkthrough!

🚀 Industrial Visit to ICEATE, Dholera

The Department of Information Technology, SVIT Vasad organized an enriching industrial visit to ICEATE, Dholera for T.Y. I.T. – 5th Semester students on 7th August 2026.

👩‍🎓 107 students participated, accompanied by Prof. Amit Chaudhari, Prof. Viral Patel, Dr. Falguni Patel, and Prof. Rohini Patel.

🎓 SAP Educate to Employ (E2E) Orientation Program | SVIT Vasad 🚀

SVIT Vasad, in collaboration with the Edunet Foundation, successfully conducted the SAP E2E Orientation Program on August 6, 2026, with enthusiastic participation from over 500 B.E. and MBA students.

The event was organized by the Centre of Excellence (CoE) Lab, SVIT Vasad, under the coordination of Prof. Pradish Dadhania (Coordinator) and Prof. Nikesha Patel (Joint Coordinator).

The orientation introduced students to SAP, industry-relevant skills, certification opportunities, career pathways and E2E program. 🌟

🚀 NLP-IGNITE 2026 successfully concluded at the SVIT ACM Student Chapter, Department of Computer Engineering. The four-day bootcamp provided students with hands-on learning in Natural Language Processing through expert sessions, the NLP Innovation Challenge, project presentations, and a valedictory ceremony.
