Sunbeam Lahartara is proud to share that Mrs. Perveen Quaiser, Principal, and Mrs. Shraddha Maheshwari, Headmistress, participated in the AFS India Annual Volunteer Meet 2026 held in Goa.

The programme brought together AFS leaders, volunteers, educators, and stakeholders committed to fostering intercultural understanding and global citizenship. Insightful sessions were led by Mr. Jayant Krishna, Chair, Volunteer Development Committee, AFS India; Mr. Jayant Hari Har Lal, Member, Board of Directors, AFS India; Ms. Diya Badgel; and Mr. Joseph Kuok, Member, Volunteer Development Committee, AFS India.The programme also featured virtual addresses by Dr. Lucas Welter, Chief Organization Development and Strategy Officer, AFS Intercultural Programs, and Ms. Cecille Lee Rodrigues, social activist and entrepreneur.
Discussions focused on the evolving role of volunteers as mentors, cultural bridges, community builders, and ambassadors of AFS values.

Exploring the Future of Higher Education!
Ms. Khushi Mehrotra, Career Counsellor at Sunbeam School Lahartara, participated in the three-day Counsellors' Meet at Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida.
The program provided valuable insights into academic programs, research facilities, admissions processes, career development, and student support systems. Interactive sessions, campus tours, and networking opportunities offered a deeper understanding of evolving higher education trends.

Day 2

A day of leadership, teamwork, and inspiration! Students participated in the Outdoor Strategy & Skill Arena, strengthening their communication and strategic thinking skills. An insightful session by Mrs. Priya Zadu on “Prefects to Pioneers” encouraged students to move beyond positions and become confident changemakers and visionary leaders.

The day also featured a Geopolitics Case Study Forum and an inspiring leadership talk by Col Neel Krishan, who shared valuable lessons on resilience, courage, and leadership from his experience during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

An enriching day that encouraged our young leaders to think critically, collaborate effectively, and lead with purpose.

This week, we spotlight Ojasvi Tandon, alumna of Sunbeam Lahartara (2023–24), who is making her mark at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University. As the Coordinator of Vaktritva – Hindi Debating Society, Ojasvi exemplifies confidence, leadership, and the power of effective communication.

Her journey reflects the spirit of Sunbeam Lahartara — nurturing young minds who continue to excel, inspire, and create meaningful impact beyond the school campus.
