Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, Banaras Hindu University, invites you to join an online lecture on the topic ‘Reestablishing Bhikkhunī Ordination in Theravāda Buddhism: Between the Crisis of Institutional Legitimacy and the Adversities of Institutional Betrayal’ on 19th January, 2026 at 4:30 PM by Ven. Dr. Bhikkhunī Dhammadinnā, Director, Āgama Research Group and Visiting Associate Research Professor, Department of Buddhist Studies, Dharma Drum Institute of Liberal Arts, Taiwan. She has also worked at University of California, Berkeley, Department of South and South Asian Studies.
