It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that the Department of Metallurgical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) is organizing 2nd International Conference on Management and Recycling of Metallurgical Wastes (MetWaste-2023) during 27-28 February, 2023 at Varanasi, India. The 1st edition of the MetWaste conference held in 2020 and was a huge success. Now, MetWaste-2023 is being organised as a part of the Centenary Celebrations of the department which was established by the great visionar Bharat Ratna Pt Madan Mohan Malviyaji in 1923 as "MinMet" in the Banaras Hindu University.

The present conference on "Management and Recycling of Metallurgical Wastes" (MetWaste-2023) aims at providing a platform for presenting innovative results on the above subject matter.

The selected full papers will get the opportunity to be published in the Materials Today: Proceedings (Elsevier) like earlier MetWaste-2020. The articles of MetWaste-2020 may be downloaded through the link https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/materials-today-proceedings/vol/46/part/P3

It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that the department of Metallurgical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) in association with University of Edinburgh, UK is organizing an International Conference on Management and Recycling of Metallurgical Wastes (MetWaste-2023) during 27-28 February, 2023 at Varanasi, India. This will be a part of Centenary Celebration of our department on completion of 100 years of Department of Metallurgical Engineering at Banaras Hindu University.
Metallurgical waste generated along with metal production accumulated over years causing serious problem to the environment. These wastes not only contain polluting and hazardous materials but can be source of valuable minerals and metals which can be recycled to save energy cost, minimal resources and deterioration of ecological system. Moreover, after the end of life of many components used in our life, get converted to huge quantity of wastes, which can be recycled to recover many valuable metals and alloys. Therefore, the present conference on "Management and Recycling of Metallurgical Wastes" (MetWaste-2023) aims at providing platform for presentation of innovative results on the above subject matter.
The objective of the conference, scope of the subjects for the presentation program, registration details, call for papers etc. are given in the attached Poster.
