This Friday, the 13th the Astronomy Club IIT BHU brings to you all The Yuri’s Night. Be a part of this international party, to celebrate Yuri Gagarin's great endeavor to become the first human in space. Commemorating one of the greatest feats of humanity, a grand, under the sky, star party awaits!

Register for the event to grab your Movie Ticket as well as a Corona Magazine!
This First Round of registration, which begins at 10PM tonight, will fetch you a RED TICKET. This includes an Exclusive Seat for the movie and a Corona Magazine.
The Second Round, which begins at 11 PM tonight, will fetch you a BLUE TICKET. This includes a Corona Magazine only.

The last Corona of the semester is on its way to quench your curiosity about all that lies beyond the horizon. If you believe you have what it takes to captivate your readers with your words and knowledge, then we have the perfect platform for you!
The Corona Article Writing Competition has returned yet again. Write an article on any one of your topics and stand a chance to be featured in the finale of Corona for the semester. Only the best 3 entries will make it into the magazine.
The topics for the competition are:
1) Capture Hypothesis
2) Planet X
3) Contribution of CERN to modern astrophysics
4) Voyagers' discoveries and their significance
5) Primordial nucleosynthesis
The winners' articles will be featured in the April edition of the Corona Magazine and will be provided a certificate as a testament to his work.
A few rules to be mentioned:
Eligible Participants:
The participant must be a student of IIT BHU.
Criteria for the article:
1) Each participant can submit one article only.
2) The article must be around 800 words long.
3) The article will have to be uploaded to the attached Google form. The file must be a word document.
4) The article must be self-written, and evidence of any plagiarism shall lead to immediate disqualification.
Judging Criteria:
The article must be well written, scientifically accurate and should touch all the aspects of the selected topic.

A man opens a book and gets bored reading it, and you think that book to be ME?NO...I AM THE ONE THAT KNOCKS BOREDOM! So let me give you a clear picture of this...I am not some cute bedtime fairytale,feeding fantasies to your brain... I am an entire universe in your hand, blowing your mind with the realities of cosmos that are stranger than fiction.
I'm not something that you can get easily. You have to earn me as the registrations get finished in a blink of an eye...Are you the one who will be able to register in time?

Get Ready Guys!!
Hello fellas!
We will be witnessing an incredible feat on 31st January with the Total Lunar Eclipse, Supermoon and the Blue Moon all occuring on the same evening. Also, the peak time of the lunar eclipse is 7 pm.
The Astronomy Club is pleased to conduct an open session for all enthusiasts for the same. So throw all superstitions away and be there to experience this amazing event in the Gymkhana Grounds at 6 pm on 31st January 2018.
PS. This fascinating event is occurring after 150 years!
