Legend goes that Lord Krishna lovingly put colors on the face of Radha in those playful moments at Vridavan. The tradition of Holi colors traces its origin to those colorful moments. At Rajghat, preparing colors in an environmentally sustainable way is the beginning of the festival that culminates in the dance at the Amphitheater.

What better way to celebrate than for the entire community of Rajghat to assemble under the banyan tree for a delightful performance of music and dance - something that represented the diversity of this country, be it Bengali, Konkini, Kathak, Bharatnatyam.

The Women Empowerment Unit of the Rajghat Education Centre has been working with communities living in the vicinity of the school for decades. Through providing training in tailoring & embroidery as well as imparting basic literacy, the Unit has been part of the story of community revival in general and women empowerment in particular. After successful events in the last few years, we are now reviewing the format of the event including frequency to make it even more engaging and to reach out to a larger alumni base. Hence, we do not plan to host the alumni event for this year. We will update the site with new information on future plans in the coming months.

Greetings from Rajghat !!

We are pleased to announce the RBS Alumni Open House event 2018. Event format has been amended to include a visit and a stay plan at the RBS hostels. We request you to read the following text carefully to plan and let us know well in time.

Name of event : RBS Alumni Open House event 2018


Dates of event : Dec 24 to Dec 26, 2018 (both dates included)

You are welcome to stay for a maximum of any two continuous days. The booking will be based on first come first serve basis. Preference will be given to individuals over
groups. While the event ideally is for alumni members, we are aware that some of you may wish to bring your immediate family (spouse and children) along. We can also accommodate a limited number of alumni coming with their immediate family (4 per family maximum) based on first come first serve basis. Some of you may choose to attend the alumni meet on 24th Dec but not stay on which is fine too. RBS management based on final confirmations will decide the hostel accommodation.
The hostel stay plan is deliberately unstructured so that alumni get to enjoy the moments without formal engagements. However, some among you may take the lead to plan small group events and depending on facility needed, we will endeavor to support.
