I write today to applaud and appreciate sincere and ongoing attempts by young sculptors such as Pt Rajeev Ranjan . Since his moving from New Delhi to Banaras, closer to his roots, a reflection is comprehendible in his expression. At a very crucial juncture in his life, he has chosen to sculpt and research, overlooking a financially sustainable school teaching job sought by many though a bane in the academic objectives of visual arts institutions in the hinterland. Rajeev manages to amalgamate many of his experiences, emotions, and materials in his exhibition that opens today. I wish him good luck and energy to carry on.
