Some Important formulae in chemistry that NEET and JEE students should be familiar with :
Ideal Gas Law: PV = nRT, where P is pressure, V is volume, n is the number of moles of gas, R is the ideal gas constant, and T is temperature.
Henry's Law: S = kH * P, where S is the solubility of a gas, P is the partial pressure of the gas, and kH is the Henry's law constant.
pH Formula: pH = -log[H+], where [H+] is the concentration of hydrogen ions in a solution.
Nernst Equation: Ecell = E°cell - (RT/nF) ln Q, where Ecell is the cell potential, E°cell is the standard cell potential, R is the gas constant, T is temperature, n is the number of electrons transferred in the reaction, F is Faraday's constant, and Q is the reaction quotient.
Rate Law: rate = k[A]^x[B]^y, where k is the rate constant, [A] and [B] are the concentrations of reactants, and x and y are the orders of the reaction with respect to A and B, respectively.
Gibbs Free Energy: ΔG = ΔH - TΔS, where ΔG is the change in Gibbs free energy, ΔH is the change in enthalpy, T is temperature, and ΔS is the change in entropy.
Henderson-Hasselbalch Equation: pH = pKa + log([A-]/[HA]), where pKa is the acid dissociation constant, [A-] is the concentration of the conjugate base, and [HA] is the concentration of the acid.
Beer-Lambert Law: A = εcl, where A is absorbance, ε is the molar absorptivity, c is concentration, and l is path length.
Avogadro's Law: V/n = k, where V is volume, n is the number of moles of gas, and k is a constant.
Equilibrium Constant: Keq = [products]/[reactants], where [products] and [reactants] are the concentrations of the products and reactants, respectively, at equilibrium.
