Dance is not just a physical activity but it's more than that, it's a spiritual thing.
नृत्य आध्यात्मिकता की अनुभूति का साधन है।
In Vishnudharmotthara Purana {विष्णुधर्मोत्तर पुराण} it is given as follows, " To worship God by Nritya is to fulfil all desires and also to unfold the path of salvation".
विष्णुधर्मोत्तर पुराण कहता है कि नृत्य मुक्ति का मार्ग है।
Shiva's dancing symbolized the Cosmic rhythm in its endless movement of shrishti {सृष्टि}, sthithi {स्थिति} and samhara {संहार}, I.e. creation, revelation and destruction
सनातन परंपरा में सृष्टि के सृजन, संचालन एवं संघार को महादेव के नटराज स्वरूप में दर्शाया गया है।
