गोल्‍ड की प्‍योरिटी चेक करने का एक तरीके होता है. इसमें हॉलमार्क से जुड़े 5 तरह के निशान होते हैं, इन निशानों से गोल्‍ड की प्‍योरिटी चेक की जाती है. इसमें 1 कैरेट से लेकर 24 कैरेट तक का स्‍केल होता है. अगर 22 कैरेट का गोल्‍ड है तो उसमें 916, 21 कैरेट का सोना है तो उस पर 875 लिखा होता है. 18 कैरेट के गोल्‍ड पर 750 लिखा होता है. वहीं, यदि गोल्‍ड 14 कैरेट का होगा तो 585 अंकित होगा. यदि 24 कैरेट का गोल्‍ड होगा, तो तो उस पर 999 अंकित होता है।
