Currently doing a summer internship in mumbai , she's a student of Masters in Design at National Institute of Design,Ahmedabad . The Querdy team got a chance to have a chat with Pallavi Jain who is a successful Chartered Accountant and has given wings to her designing career post qualification.
She realized that she wanted to make a career in designing and started actively participating in creative activities while studying for CA. She gave full justice to course studies and she strongly believed in not mugging up answers.
Belonging to a family of doctors, she gives credit to her parents and teachers for supporting her through all her endeavors.
She has many awards in her kitty including mumbai's top 100 artists, mumbai university's youth festivals, excellence in fine arts and so on..
Ambitious about starting up on her own, she is currently into free lance designing and is interested in brand identity designing.
For our readers, this is what she has to say - " CA is not as difficult as it is perceived to be. Understand concepts logically and you will sail through. Follow your heart, start small and always find time for things you like to do". Our interview ended with all smiles and an overload of inspiration.

Over the weekend, the Querdy team got in touch with Dipty Jain, CA final rank holder in the November 2014 attempt.
Dipty, who currently works as a senior analyst in a leading financial services company, starts her day with a 45 minute jog or power yoga followed by reading the Economic Times.
If not chartered accountancy, she says she would've definitely been an artist. Securing a rank is no mean feat, and we ask her how she managed it all, and she says, "Chartered accountancy undoubtedly is a difficult journey. Just trust yourself and all the efforts will pay off. Just do it with confidence." She also says her family has been her support throughout, and credits her mom as being her biggest inspiration.
We ask her how her life has changed after CA, and she says excitedly, "The change is amazing…from lazy mornings and daily outings with friends..to the fear of getting a good job and living upto everyone’s expectations..life is definitely more fun and enjoyable…my whatsapp groups now not only consist of school and college friends, but also friends made during ITT, orientation, classes, GMCS, articleship!!"
She signs off by saying, "Make time for the things you enjoy…ditch your bed on the weekends and see how life changes for the better…Enjoy each moment…make memories!!"
While most of us find solace in thinking of rank holders as bespectacled geniuses, with little time for fun or leisure, Dipty proves that rank holders are in fact the opposite of that!

There's accounts, costing, taxation, law and then there's chocolates, vanilla, red velvet, oreo- Srushti Gandhi's cupcakes make it worth the extra effort at the gym!! What started off as a hobby for this chartered accountant, has now culminated into making her the proud proprietor of her own dessert brand 'Obsessive Cupcake Disorder'! She says that she has mastered her skills with time and believes that perseverance is her biggest asset.
The first CA in her family of doctors, she attributes her success to her close friends and family. This baker has faced failures, but has moved ahead with a smile. When asked about the chartered accountancy course, she suggested that the entry level should be made more challenging and there must be more transparency with the evaluation pattern. Lastly, she affirmed that passion needs to find time for itself, do what you like and never give up. Unfortunately, we couldn't interrogate more due to the distraction of sweet treats in front of us!!

Enroll as a CPT student and the race begins; persistent running after classes, articleship, GMCS, forms, books..the list is endless!
Seshadri Govindan, however, took this quite literally! This Chartered Accountant cultivated running as a hobby and now has many tough races in his kitty. Apart from being an ultra modest athlete, he also has a well set career in the transaction services department of a Big 4.
However, he never thought his hobby would translate into an enduring passion. It started off with him running the Mumbai half marathon and gradually resulted in him running several marathons in different cities.
If not Chartered Accountancy, he would've been a cricketer or would've settled for an MBA. We ask him if he credits his success to anyone, to which he responds without a second thought, 'I did not get a rank, so no credit. I'd only thank my friends' notes!!'
Any message for students, we ask him and he says, 'Give it your best shot by trusting your instincts, no matter how long it takes'. On a departing note, he insists on the idea of pursuing a sport along with academics in order to get a whole new perspective to things. Truly an inspiration!

Ask any CA student the months he/she dreads the most, and May and November will be the choices by default! However, there are a handful few who manage to turn these dreadful months around in their favour and ace the exams with their hard work and determination. Suzan D'Souza, All India Rank 11 in the May 2013 exams is one such example
Why CA, we ask her, and pat comes the reply 'I decided to pursue CA because I had an inclination towards finance. Also, CA is a highly regarded profession. It has definitely made me more independent and confident about myself'.
Suzan, who currently works as a manager in export finance in a publicly traded company, completed her articleship with a renowned firm, where she was awarded 'trainee of the quarter.' She starts her day by reading about markets and general news.
She holds her teachers and parents in high regard for their constant support and credits them for her success.
We ask her for a message to inspire our readers and budding chartered accountants, and she says 'believe in yourself. You are your own inspiration'
