हिंदी दिवस पर है प्रण, इसे ऊंचाइयों पर ले जाएंगे,
मातृभाषा का मान बढ़ाकर, नया इतिहास बनाएंगे
राजभाषा आयोग ने इस दिन को मनाने का विचार प्रस्तुत किया था। इसका उद्देश्य हिंदी को राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर प्रसारित करना था। 14 सितंबर 1949 को भारतीय संविधान सभा ने हिंदी को देवनागरी लिपि में भारत की राजभाषा के रूप में स्वीकार किया। 1953 से हर साल 14 सितंबर को हिंदी दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है।
