The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) & SSIP Cell, Government Polytechnic, Valsad successfully organized an insightful expert talk on “IPR Essentials for Engineering Academicians and Researchers.”

🎙️ Expert Speaker:
Dr. Sandip T. Patel Sir
Assistant Professor, Government Engineering College, Valsad

Dr. Sandip Patel shared valuable insights into Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and explained the practical aspects of patent filing, copyright, and industrial design registration. He also highlighted the importance of protecting innovative ideas and research outcomes.

🌟 Mrs. K. S. Damania, SSIP Coordinator, warmly welcomed the expert and highlighted the importance of IPR awareness among academicians and researchers.

đź‘Ą Around 60 faculty members of Government Polytechnic, Valsad actively participated and benefited from the informative and interactive session.

Mechanical Engineering Department, Government Polytechnic, Valsad organized a Parents Meeting for 1st semester students on 11-09-2026 to discuss students’ academic progress, attendance, discipline, and other academic-related matters. The meeting was conducted in the presence of the Head of the Department. Parents’ queries and concerns, particularly regarding attendance and other academic matters, were discussed and addressed appropriately. The respective Class Teachers and Mentors provided necessary guidance to the parents regarding students’ regular attendance, academic performance, learning activities, and overall development. The meeting helped strengthen communication between parents and the department and encouraged collaborative efforts for the better academic progress of students.

Government Polytechnic, Valsad, under the ISTE Cell, organized a Poster Making Competition on 16/09/2026 to celebrate Engineers’ Day 2026. The competition was held at the CAD-CAM laboratory Room no. A-03, where students enthusiastically showcased their creativity, technical knowledge, and innovative ideas through posters. Various themes included the role of engineers in nation building, innovation and technology, AI, automation, robotics, green engineering, and smart engineering. The activity encouraged students to develop creative thinking and awareness of the role of engineering in solving real-world problems. Event was successfully coordinated by ISTE Coordinator Shri B. N. Patel Sir, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, and the committee members. Their guidance and dedicated efforts contributed to the successful conduct of the competition.
