🎓 6th Semester – Electrical Engineering Department
🏫 Government Polytechnic, Valsad
An exciting Project Exhibition 2026 was organized
where final-year students showcased their innovative
projects and technical skills.
🔎 Project Areas:
Water level monitoring & control, smart energy
metering using GSM, EV wireless charging, classroom
and home automation systems, transmission line fault
detection with GSM alerts, and other Electrical domain
projects.
💡 Students demonstrated their projects with great
enthusiasm, reflecting their hard work and practical
understanding of engineering concepts.
🏆 Winners of the Exhibition:
🥇 1st – Classroom Automation System
🥈 2nd – Water Level Monitoring & Control
🥉 3rd – Home Automation via Internet
👨‍🏫 The projects were evaluated by jury members, and
awards were presented in the presence of the Principal
and Head of Department.

Mechanical Engineering Department of Government Polytechnic, Valsad organized a Project Exhibition for 6th semester students on 30th April 2026 from 11:00 AM onwards. The exhibition provided a platform for students to showcase their technical skills, innovative ideas, and practical knowledge gained during their course.

The event was evaluated by esteemed judges including Mr. Kaushik Patel (CADD Centre, Valsad), Dr. R. N. Mehta (Associate Professor, GEC Valsad), Mr. B. C. Patel (Assistant Professor, GEC Valsad), and Mr. Shilpamkumar Babubhai Mistry (Alumni & Industrialist, Production Assistant Manager, Meril Endo Surgery Pvt. Ltd., Bilakhia Group, Vapi). Their expert guidance and evaluation added significant value to the exhibition.

A variety of innovative and industry-relevant projects were displayed by the students, reflecting their creativity and understanding of engineering concepts. At the end of the event, trophies and certificates were awarded to the top three performing groups in recognition of their outstanding work.

The exhibition was a great success and proved to be an enriching learning experience for all participating students.

Government Polytechnic Valsad organized an initiative of placing water pots for birds on the occasion of Earth Day on 22nd April 2026 in the institute campus from 2:00 pm onwards.

Principal, Students and faculty members actively participated in this noble activity with great enthusiasm. The initiative aimed to support birds during the summer season by providing easy access to clean drinking water at various locations across the campus.

Multiple water pots were strategically placed in shaded and accessible areas to ensure maximum benefit for birds. Participants also took responsibility for regularly refilling and maintaining the pots to sustain the effort.

The activity promoted environmental awareness, compassion towards living beings, and a sense of social responsibility among students, contributing towards a more eco-friendly and caring campus environment.

Government Polytechnic Valsad organized a beach cleaning drive on the occasion of Earth Day (22-04-2026) in collaboration with the WWF(World Wide Fund for Nature). Around 60 students and faculty members actively participated in the event, demonstrating their commitment towards environmental protection and cleanliness. Mautik Dave( WWF state head), along with his team, was present during the drive and provided valuable guidance and awareness about environmental conservation. The initiative helped in promoting cleanliness, sustainability, and responsibility towards nature among the participants.

Mechanical Engineering Department of Government Polytechnic, Valsad organized an expert lecture on *“Production Planning and Control”* for 6th semester students on 17-03-2026. The session was conducted by Mr. Krunal Tandel, senior executive from NHP Ball and Roller Ltd., located at Andhkesvar Road, Amalsad, Ta. Gandevi, Navsari.

The expert explained the fundamental concepts of production planning, scheduling, routing, and inventory control, along with their practical applications in industry. He also shared real-life industrial experiences and emphasized the importance of effective planning and control for improving productivity and minimizing production costs.

🏭 4th/6th Semester Electrical Engineering students visited Paras Pump Pvt. Ltd. and Kipra Electrical Pvt. Ltd., Bagwada (near NH-8 Toll Plaza) on 17/03/2026.

🎓 Participants: 23 Students

🔎 Highlights of the Visit:
🔹 Manufacturing of induction motor components (stator, rotor, enclosure)
🔹 Assembly process of three-phase induction motors
🔹 Winding, testing, and quality control techniques
🔹 Exposure to industrial safety and standards

Students gained valuable practical knowledge of induction motor manufacturing and real industrial practices, bridging the gap between theory and application.

Government Polytechnic, Valsad successfully organized a 12-day Entrepreneurship Development Training Program from 5th March to 20th March 2026, in collaboration with Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Gandhinagar and EDC Cell.

👩‍🎓👨‍🎓 30 enthusiastic students actively participated in this program, gaining valuable knowledge on:
