Religion isn't a private fiefdom and accountability isn't a threat.
When religious scholars speak in the public sphere, asking questions about ethics and impact isn't disrespect; it’s a mark of an enlightened society. Even Islamic tradition encourages addressing critique directly with logic and clarity rather than hiding behind hostility or intimidation.
However, critique must never become a disguise for hate-mongering. We need responsible journalism just as much as we need accountable scholars. It's time to normalize healthy debate and boycott sensationalism.
