Words are like dormant emotions brought alive by how you say them. But it is important to get your words right, your construct, your punctuation right, to be able to deliver a certain feeling or emotion.
For instance:
'It is estimated that 86.4% of the currency in circulation has been demonetised' will demand a matter of fact delivery. But
'86.4%. That is the percentage of the currency that has been demonetised'
will dictate a more dramatic delivery and consequently deliver a more heightened emotional impact.
Or for instance say, you are opening a speech at an AGM meet and it has been a year of overcoming many hurdles and setbacks. You could begin by
It has been very tough year for all of us.
Or you also could say
It has been a tough year. Very tough.
Same words different impact.
Now change the word 'tough' to say 'harsh'.
