EXPANSION PLAN – COMMENCEMENT OF A PHYSIOTHERAPY UNIT
Beginning physical therapy as early as possible usually gives children the best chances at improvement.
There are many benefits of physical therapy, from improving mobility to preventing future issues such as contractures and joint dislocations by keeping the body strong and flexible. However,many children with CP increase their level of self-reliance through physical therapy.
Physical therapy can improve:
• Coordination
• Balance
• Strength
• Flexibility
• Endurance
• Pain management
• Posture
• Gait
• Overall health
A physiotherapist intervenes to assist and develop gross motor skills and mobility of the children with special needs. Physiotherapist assesses and manages children and young persons suffering from movement disorders and disabilities. By providing physical intervention, advice and support physiotherapist help the children with special needs in achieving their full potential. A physiotherapist focuses in particular, on issues involving muscles, bones, circulation of blood and lungs.
Installing a new Physiotherapy Unit needs financial assistance mainly for the purchase of equipments and space development.
FINANCIAL PARAMETERS
A detailed estimate including income & expenditure, balance sheet etc for 3 years are prepared based on the cost of project and source of fund expected, which are attached in separate sheets.
CONCLUSION
The initiatives undertaken by THEJUS SPECIAL SCHOOL to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families and seeking new knowledge that will lead to improvements in the education and lives of individuals with disabilities are proving to be very effective in the areas in which they are supposed to impact.
Their efforts aims to nurture children with special needs in safe, inclusive and supportive environments through education, therapeutic intervention and community acceptance.
By implementing the Physiotherapy unit, we are able to attain the intended objectives gradually.
Upon a detailed study of the operations and financial position of the trust, we have arrived at a conclusion that the formulated plan for a new Physiotherapy Unit is technically viable and financially a feasible one which deserves adequate funding in the form of non-refundable grant from the Local Government Body or any other charitable institutions or well wishers.
