Yesterday, Vadodara came together in a celebration of diversity, dignity, and belonging.

Led by our community partners Lakshya, Vikalp and Ashiqui Events and supported by SMCSU, the Pride Parade was a powerful reminder that inclusion begins with visibility, understanding, and collective action. As an institution committed to creating safe and equitable spaces, SMCSU continues to champion conversations around identity, acceptance, and equal opportunities for all.

From meaningful dialogues and awareness initiatives to supporting Pride Month through events and community engagement, SMCSU remains dedicated to fostering a society where every individual feels seen, respected, and valued.

We thank everyone who walked with our valued partners, supported the cause, and helped make this celebration of humanity, diversity, and belonging truly memorable.

Together, we move forward one step closer to a more inclusive future.

Untouchability is not always written into laws.
Sometimes it lives quietly
in our choices, our prejudices, and the distance we maintain from people we claim to accept.
Perhaps it is time to question not them, but ourselves.

BEYOND LABELS
Identity, Allyship & The Courage To Belong

was more than a conversation; it was an evening of
learning, reflection, empathy, and understanding.

The programme began with a powerful and engaging presentation by Raadhikaa Nandgiri, who thoughtfully
guided the audience through the history of the Pride movement and the evolving conversations
around identity, inclusion, and belonging.

In a deeply insightful discussion with
Dr. Radhikaraje Gaekwad, Raadhikaa Nandgiri
shared her experiences working with diverse
communities, organisations, and institutions, offering a nuanced perspective on the realities, challenges, and aspirations of transgender individuals. Their candid
exchange highlighted the importance of allyship, dignity, acceptance, and creating spaces where every individual
feels valued and respected.

Held at the elegant setting of LVP Banquets, the event
brought together people from different walks of life to
listen, learn, and engage in meaningful dialogue.
The evening concluded with a thoughtful and interactive question-and-answer session, where audience members shared reflections and explored important questions
with openness and sincerity.
