Empowering educators for the future of learning, Ms. Sapna Iyer, Dean of Students (Jr. School) and a certified CBSE Resource Person, recently led an impactful two-day Capacity Building Programme on Competency-Based Assessment (Secondary level) at Amrit Vidyalaya, Kalol, from May 4th to 5th.
As a seasoned workshop leader, she continues to empower educators with effective assessment practices. This session brought together teachers from across Gujarat and focused on question design, competency-based learning, and the use of rubrics. Through engaging sessions on Bloom’s Taxonomy, free-response questions, and hands-on activities, participants explored meaningful ways to enhance classroom assessment.

"Every Stroke Speaks for the Earth.” 🌍
The courtyard of Navrachana School came alive as students of Classes 1 to 8 participated in a Chalk Art Activity on 28th April,2026 in collaboration with Vadodara Marathon as part of Green Education .With enthusiasm, they transformed the ground into a vibrant canvas, creating murals on themes of nature, environment and Earth Day.
Our artistic students showcased creativity, teamwork and meaningful messages. The activity beautifully blended art with awareness, leaving the school bright and cheerful.

🌿 “Old Pages, New Purpose – Turning Waste into Worth!” ♻️
The enthusiastic students of Std 3 to 8 at Navrachana Higher Secondary School, Sama, actively participated in the eco-friendly initiative 'Purane Panne Naya Rang' in collaboration with Vadodara Marathon, from 6th to 17th April 2026.
Demonstrating responsibility and creativity, students collected nearly 20 kilograms of unused pages from old notebooks. These pages were thoughtfully sorted and transformed into new rough notebooks ,an inspiring step towards reducing paper waste and encouraging mindful reuse.
The activity deepened students’ understanding of conservation and the importance of saving trees. It was heartening to see many already adopting such sustainable practices in their daily lives. This initiative beautifully reinforced the idea that even small efforts can lead to meaningful environmental change. 🌍✨

🌟 “Beyond Sight: Discovering the Power of Touch, Trust and Understanding”
As part of Blindness Awareness Week, in collaboration with Vadodara Marathon, students of Std 3 to 5 engaged in meaningful experiential activities in the month of April.
Through blindfold walks, sensory exploration using touch, sound and smell, and trying basic Braille, students gained insight into visual impairment and the power of heightened senses and trust.
The Preparatory Stage students participated with great enthusiasm and sensitivity, making the experience truly impactful. The week concluded with a deeper sense of empathy, inspiring them to be more kind, aware and inclusive in their everyday lives.

Ms. Kiran Tiwari, Activity Coordinator,Junior Section, Navrachana Higher Secondary School, and Mr. Milind Phadke, Principal of Aatmiya Vidyalaya, Manjalpur served as a CBSE resource persons for a capacity building program organised by COE Ahmedabad on 'Uses of Artificial Intelligence in Classrooms' for the faculty of Navrachana Higher Secondary School, Sama. The inspiring and insightful workshop covered key concepts such as Prompt Engineering, types of AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and the goals of AI in education etc.
Teachers were introduced to a wide range of innovative AI tools that can enhance teaching, personalize learning, and create more interactive and dynamic classroom experiences. The capacity building program was highly enjoyable, thought-provoking, and filled with practical strategies. Educators left with valuable takeaways, fresh perspectives, and renewed enthusiasm to integrate AI meaningfully into their teaching practices. It was truly an enriching and future-ready learning experience for all.

Navrachana Higher Secondary School, Sama recently hosted an insightful workshop on DigiKavach, Google’s flagship initiative to combat online financial fraud and strengthen digital security. The session was organised by Gyan Sarovar Sahodaya.
Resource Persons:
Ms. Vibha Puri – EdTech Manager at Mahattattva, certified Google for Education Trainer, Innovator, Coach & Champions Ambassador, and Apple Teacher.
Ms. Celine Mary George – Educator with expertise in teacher education and social sciences, currently Assistant Learning Experience Designer at Mahattattva.
The workshop was highly interactive, blending expert presentations with real-world case studies. Discussions focused on emerging online frauds, creating strong and secure passwords, and everyday cybersecurity practices for students and teachers. By staying informed through initiatives like this, we move from being passive users to becoming active digital guardians of our own data and finances. The school thanks Gyan Sarovar Sahodaya and the Mahattattva team for equipping the teacher fraternity with timely tools to navigate the digital world safely and confidently.

Navrachana Higher Secondary School, Sama celebrated International Dance Day during today’s morning assembly with a vibrant showcase that brought this quote to life. Students performed Tippani, a folk dance from the Saurashtra region of Gujarat, particularly Chorwad and Veraval, traditionally performed by women. One could feel the energy in the quadrangle as every beat and expression held the assembly spellbound.. The celebration highlighted dance not just as an art form, but as a powerful medium to build confidence, discipline, and cultural appreciation. The performance earned resounding applause from the assembly.
