School is a temple of learning and a training ground for future citizens. The name of this school is “Shree Gangabai Sarvajanik High School”. It was set up on 19th February, 1919. The school was set up from donated land and money by people of the Chhani Rural. (Now Chhani is a part of Vadodara Municipal Seva Sadan since 4 years). Currently it is governed by the Shree Chhani Kelavani Mandal trust consist of Trustees belong to Chhani.

The atmosphere in which this school is situated is very pleasant. It is has a big play ground on the side. The school has three rows of big buildings.
1. Bal Mandir (Junior and Senior KG)
2. Primary Section (Standard 1st to 7th)
3. Secondary and Higher Secondary Section (Standard 8th to 12th)

The name of the school is written on the front building.

There is also Library, the Science Laboratory; Air conditioned Computer Training Centre etc in the school premises.
All the teachers are qualified and experienced.

The total number of students of school is about fifteen hundred in total. The uniform for boys consists of light grey pant (Shorts) and white shirt. For girls it consists of light grey frock. The school functions from 10.45 A.M. to 5.30 P.M. classes begin after a mass prayer. During the recess hour, Some students also go to library and read newspaper there. In games period students play football, volley ball, etc. Girl students play ring ball too.

The library of our school is a big one. There are about one thousand books on different subjects; Students can borrow books from library and refund period is of fifteen days.
The school celebrates the Republic Day, the Independence Day, the Teacher's Day.

In annual examinations the students from school show brilliant performance. The District Science Exhibition is also held in school one or two times.

The students of Chhani, Dumad, Dashrath, Ranoli, Nandesari, Koyli, Bajwa, Chhani Jakat Naka etc take education from this school.
