Stop romanticizing people who repeatedly showed you who they are.
Read that again.
You didn’t lose them.
You lost the illusion you created around them.
And honestly?
That’s where it hurts.
Because now you can’t lie to yourself anymore.
You can’t say,
“Maybe they’ll change…”
“Maybe they didn’t mean it…”
“Maybe I’m overthinking…”
No.
You saw it.
You felt it.
You ignored it.
Not because you’re weak…
but because you were emotionally invested in their potential, not their reality.
But here’s the truth most people don’t have the courage to accept:
They were consistent.
Consistently unavailable.
