Internship Placement: Raushan Raj, a student of the 2nd Semester, M.A. DSS programme, has secured an Internship opportunity at Impact and Policy Research Institute (IMPRI) as a Research and Editorial Intern. He will be working in the Centre for International Relations and Strategic Studies (CIRSS). IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute is a proactive, independent, and non-partisan think tank dedicated to evidence-driven research, transparent governance, and fostering policy conversations among stakeholders based in New Delhi.
Mr Raushan is also doing an online internship at the Department of Economics and Politics, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan. Founded by the first non-European Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Thākur(popularly known as Tagore) in 1921, Visva-Bharati was declared to be a Central University and an Institution of National Importance by an Act of Parliament in 1951.
We believe these internships will help him gain professional experience alongside his academic learning.

Internship placement: Ms Prapti Das, MA DSS 2nd Semester student, has secured an online internship with NIICE (Nepal Institute for International Cooperation and Engagement), Kathmandu.
NIICE is an independent, apolitical, and non-partisan think tank based in Nepal. It focuses on South Asia and China in general and India and China in particular.
We believe this internship will help her achieve her academic goals while gaining professional exposure.

Internship placement: Ms. Suchita Singh, a 2nd-semester student of MA Defence and Strategic Studies, has been selected for an internship with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), New Delhi. It is a think tank of the Global South with an emphasis on impact and solutions for fellow developing countries, keeping in view emerging demands, shifts in the centre of gravity of the world economy, and India’s global role overwhelmingly determined by its economic emergence and technological prowess. RIS is unique among Indian policy research institutions for its global connect with international organisations and widest reach among developing country research scholars, institutions, think-tanks and universities.

We are delighted to share that the research paper submission by Mr Bill Christopher, PhD Research Scholar, Dept of Strategic Technologies, SNSS, CUG, has been selected for the 'Best Research Paper Award' under the Commodore RS Vasan Prize - Maritime Studies (including Maritime Security) category at the Praghna Annual Research Awards 2026.

USI is a research think tank that works on military and national security issues and is supported by the Indian Army, the Indian Navy, and the Indian Air Force.
