PEDOprGyan 2026 — A day dedicated to advancing knowledge in Contemporary Pediatric Dentistry.

The program featured a series of insightful lectures and interactive sessions covering key topics such as Bioflx crowns, preformed zirconia crowns, MTA applications, Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF), and practice management, followed by an enriching hands-on session.

Dept. Of Pediatric and preventive dentistry +KMSDCH, Sumandeep vidyapeeth deemed to be University signed MOU with SO Bharat" refers to Special Olympics Bharat, the Indian arm of Special Olympics International, a National Sports Federation recognized by India's Sports Ministry, dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities through year-round sports training and athletic competition, fostering an inclusive society, and providing health, education, and leadership programs.

Balmela 2025: Spreading Smiles & Dental Awareness!

From January 24th to 26th, our team set up a dental awareness stall at Sayaji baugh, Vadodara, as part of Balmela 2025. We had an amazing time educating over 4,000 kids from age 3 to 15 and parents about proper brushing techniques, oral hygiene, and hand hygiene.

The little ones enjoyed fun colouring activities, while our PG residents gained valuable experience in social skills and community outreach. To make it even more special, we distributed attractive gifts like pencils and crayons!

Dept. Conducted camps for school children and special children at schools and at Dhiraj General Hospital in the month of September 2024

1. A three days camp is organised by Dhiraj Hospital at Vibgyor School.
Today total of 86 children aged 13 to 17 years were screened and referal was given to those who required treatment.

2. A camp was organised by our department at ARPAN charitable trust,Diwalipura.
81 Specially abled children were screened at the camp and referal was given for the children that required treatment.Hereby attaching photos of the same.

3. visited stella mary school in manjalpur to conduct oral health check up
2 interns Hiren & Rishabh aling with Dr. Kirti
Around 80 preschoolers were examined for oral health .A health talk was given to their parents

4. 124 Students from Dr. N. G. Shah Sarvajanik High School- Waghodia.
Std. 9 were examined for dental checkup was carried out at Dhiraj General Hospital on 20th september 2024
Dr. Mitul and Dr. Krishnapriya had conducted camp successfully.

“Learn and Relearn – Authors and Reviewers Workshop 2024 ” was organized by the Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry and hosted jointly by Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, K M Shah Dental College and Hospital and Journal of Integrated Health Sciences, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University, Vadodara, Gujarat on 9th and 10th August 2024 at Convention Centre, SVDU, Vadodara, Gujarat.
The program started with inauguration by the guest of honours Dr. Parimala Kulkarni (President ISPPD), and Dr. Harshad Shah (Honourable Chancellor, SVDU). The program was graced by various university officials to name few : Dr. Rajesh Bharaney (Hon. Vice Chancellor, SVDU); Pro VC, Dr Chandramani More; Registrar, Dr Manoj Kulkarni. Dr. RV Subramanyam (Dean, KMSDCH), Dr. Bhavna Dave (Organizing Chairperson), Dr. Anshula Deshpande (Organizing Co-chairperson) and Dr. Seema Bargale (organizing secretary) were the host for the program along with their hardworking team.
Esteemed Guest Speakers from Tamil Nadu, Mangalore, New Delhi, Bhopal came all the way to participate in the program and impart their knowledge. Around 75 Delegates all accross the country including Dean’s and HOD’s of various institutes along with ISPPD Life Members attended the workshop. It was an excellent learning experience for the delegates who attended the program.

The Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, KMSDCH, proud to announce that * Dr. Sneha Dori* has been selected for the prestigious ICMR MD/MS/MDS thesis Research Grant 2023–24 under the guidance of Professor Dr. Anshula Deshpande.
