🧠✨ Mental Maths Competition | 30th April ✨🧠

Our school proudly hosted an exciting Inter-House Mental Maths Competition for students of Grades 1 to 12 on 30th April 📅. The event was designed to sharpen numerical skills, enhance speed and accuracy ⚡, and build confidence in solving problems without the use of calculators.

Students from all four houses participated with great enthusiasm and competitive spirit 🏆🔥. The event was filled with quick calculations, fun challenges, and engaging problem-solving rounds that truly tested their mental agility 🧩➕➖. The energy and excitement in the atmosphere reflected not just competition, but a genuine love for learning and numbers 💡📊.

It was inspiring to see students thinking on their feet, responding with confidence, and showcasing remarkable skills across all grades 👏🎯. The competition was a grand success, encouraging young minds to challenge themselves and grow stronger with numbers.

✨ Awareness Session on Health & Well-being ✨

Baselious Public School, in collaboration with Gujarat Refinery Hospital, organized a highly impactful awareness session for students above 9 years of age on 25th April 2026.

The session focused on some of the most important and relevant topics for today’s generation:
🔹 HPV vaccination – importance, safety, and awareness by Dr. Seema Pandey, Joint Chief Medical Officer, Gujarat Refinery
🔹 Va**ng and e-cigarettes – a rising concern in Vadodara, its harmful effects, and preventive measures by Dr. Himanshu Pandey, Chief Manager (HSE Medical), Gujarat Refinery
🔹 Good touch and bad touch – promoting safety and awareness among children by Dr. Mittal Jogel, Assistant Manager (Medical), Gujarat Refinery

The session was inaugurated by Dr. Reshmi Banerjee, President, Baroda Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society.

A special highlight of the event was the interactive question-and-answer session, where parents actively participated and openly discussed their concerns. The doctors patiently addressed every query, especially regarding vaccination, clearing doubts and building confidence among parents. This open dialogue made the session even more meaningful and reassuring.

Supported by an informative PPT presentation, the session proved to be engaging, enlightening, and highly beneficial for students and parents alike.

📚✨ Celebrating the Joy of Reading on
World Book Day - 23.04.2026✨📚

Our school came alive with imagination, creativity, and a love for books as students across all grades participated in exciting activities to mark World Book Day. 🌍📖

👧👦 Jr. KG students showcased their creativity by making beautiful and colorful bookmarks, adding their personal touch to their reading journey.

🖼️ Sr. KG children enjoyed a fun-filled picture reading activity, exploring stories through vibrant visuals and expressing their understanding with enthusiasm.

🎨 Std 1 & 2 students stepped into the magical world of stories during an engaging story time session, followed by drawing and colouring their favourite cartoon characters.

🌟 Std 3 to 5 students proudly earned their “Literary Stars” badges, celebrating their love for reading and appreciation of literature.

The day was a wonderful reminder that books open doors to endless possibilities and imagination. 📖💫

22 अप्रैल 2026 को विद्यालय में कविता पठन प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन हुआ | जिसमें कक्षा 1 से 8 वीं तक के विद्यार्थियों ने भाग लिया | “पृथ्वी दिवस”पर आयोजित इस प्रतियोगिता का मुख्य उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों को इस भावना के प्रति संवेदन शील बनाना है कि “धरती हमारी नहीं , हम धरती के है “| इस प्रतियोगिता में विद्यार्थियों ने तीन वर्गों में विभाजित होकर अपनी कविताओं की अत्यंत सराहनीय प्रस्तुति की | इस कविता पठन प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन विद्यालय के हिंदी विभाग द्वारा किया गया है |

The DACH (Design, Art, Culture and Heritage) Vadodara held on 18 April, was a vibrant celebration of the city’s rich cultural and historical heritage. The key idea of the event was “My Monument My Story -Students Showcase”. The event brought together students from 10 schools across Vadodara, who showcased artefacts and models of historical monuments through creative and skill-integrated presentations. The exhibition beautifully reflected students’ deep understanding of history, blended with artistic expression and research skills.

Adding to the charm of the festival, various cultural programmes by participating schools highlighted the traditions and legacy of Vadodara, creating an engaging and lively atmosphere for the audience.

Baselious Public School was proud to be a part of this enriching event. Continuing a legacy where even our founder fathers have contributed, our participation reflected dedication, creativity, and interdisciplinary learning.

Our students presented a praiseworthy stall on The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU), featuring detailed models of the university and the iconic Kirti Stambh. The presentation explored various aspects including flora and fauna, structural features, corrosion, and scientific perspectives. It was truly an integrated effort, combining History, English, Science, and Mathematics to study and analyse the monument from multiple dimensions.

Adding a creative touch, students also composed beautiful Hindi poems inspired by their learning. Prior field visits to these locations further enhanced their understanding and enabled them to present such thoughtful and comprehensive work.

Overall, it was a remarkable experience and a great show, fostering awareness, appreciation, and responsibility towards Vadodara’s glorious historical legacy.

🔥 Fire Safety Awareness Session at Baselios Public School 🔥

Baselios Public School successfully conducted a Fire Safety Awareness Session on 20 April in collaboration with Indian Oil officials. The session was highly informative and provided valuable insights on handling emergency situations effectively.

A live demonstration of fire safety equipment captured the students’ interest and helped them understand practical safety measures. The enthusiasm of the children was evident as they actively participated in the session and the quiz conducted during the program.

We express our sincere gratitude to the officials for their time, guidance, and for delivering such an engaging and enlightening session. Such initiatives play a crucial role in creating awareness and ensuring the safety of our young learners.
