Patel, to fulfill his lone vision to establish an Institute of world class par excellence with commitment to impart knowledge and educate the growing generation in science, technology and management with other allied areas of discipline in the true spirit of globalization for the uplift of mankind in eternity. This dream of that dynamic person has come true when the Trust has set up the– Babaria Institute of Technology (BIT) in 2004

🦠✨ Celebrating International Microorganism Day 2026! ✨🦠

The Department of Microbiology, Krishna School of Science (KSS), Drs. Kiran & Pallavi Patel Global University (KPGU), Vadodara, celebrated International Microorganism Day 2026 on 21 September 2026 with the theme “Microorganisms in Health and Ecosystems.”

The celebration began with a vibrant Microbial-Themed Tattoo Making Competition, where nearly 80 students transformed scientific concepts into colourful artwork using watercolours, showcasing creativity and fascination with the microbial world. 🎨🧫

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 117 UG and PG students of Krishna School of Science participating in various competitions and activities.

The scientific sessions featured an insightful lecture by Dr. Sougata Ghosh, Associate Professor, Department of Microbiology, R. K. University, Rajkot, on “Engineering Next-Generation Nanomedicines to Combat Bacterial Infections,” introducing students to nanoparticle design, analysis, preparation and applications ranging from combating infections to cancer research. 🧬🔬

The inauguration was graced by Dr. Nimish Chokshi, Hon. Provost, KPGU; Dr. Rita Mahapatra, Dean & Director, KSS; Dr. Gemini Gajera; and Dr. Nidhi Thakkar, Founder, Wormera Research Lab.

Dr. Gemini Gajera introduced C. elegans as a living laboratory for microbiology and biotechnology, while Dr. Nidhi Thakkar highlighted how scientific ideas can be transformed into innovation and entrepreneurship. 🪱💡

The “From Microbes to Wellness: Microbial Food Fiesta” featured idli, dhokla, khaman, cheese sandwiches, rava upma, roti chaat, vegetable raita, cheesy nachos, cheesecake and flavoured buttermilk. 🍽️🥛

The celebration continued with Microbial Reels, Poetry & Rap, bringing science alive through creativity and performance. 🎬🎤

🏆 The programme concluded with the Valedictory Ceremony & Prize Distribution, celebrating student creativity and innovation.

Krishna School of Diploma Studies (KSDS) & Krishna School of Emerging Technology & Applied Research (KSET), KPGU celebrated Engineer’s Day on 15th September 2026 with great enthusiasm and pride.

The day was celebrated by organizing various engaging events and activities for students of Diploma & Degree programmes in CSE, CE, IT, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering.

The celebration honoured the legacy of Sir M. Visvesvaraya while fostering innovation, creativity, teamwork, and technical excellence among students.

MoU Signing Ceremony & amp; Igniting Innovation: An Expert Session on Entrepreneurship

The Department of Microbiology, Krishna School of Science (KSS), Drs. Kiran &
Pallavi Patel Global University (KPGU), successfully organized an MoU Signing
Ceremony between KSS, KPGU and Savli Technology Business Incubator
(STBI), followed by an insightful Expert Session on Innovation and
Entrepreneurship.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from 72 students, along with
faculty members and distinguished guests, providing an inspiring platform for academia–industry collaboration, innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship.

The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Anand Bhadalkar, Director, STBI, and Dr.Chirag Nagda, Registrar, KPGU, with Dr. Rita Mahapatra, Dean & Director, KSS,KPGU, and Dr. Parul Shrivastava, HOD, Department of Microbiology, serving as witnesses. The ceremony was held in the esteemed presence of Hon. Provost Dr.Nimesh Chokshi and other distinguished dignitaries.

🏆 A remarkably proud moment for KPGU! 🏆

Our very own B.Tech CSE student, Atharva Manshani, along with his teammates Ansh, Abhishek, and Shivansh, has won the highly prestigious GIFT IFIH Young Builders’ Program Hackathon 2026! 🚀

Representing our institution's spirit of innovation on a national platform, Atharva and his team competed among 41 elite finalist teams meticulously selected from a pool of over 600+ applicants across India. After a rigorous and demanding technical sprint, they successfully emerged as the winning team! 🎉💻

We are extremely proud of Atharva for showcasing KPGU's engineering excellence and technical talent on such a massive national stage.
