On *Saturday, 15th August 2026* , our nation, India, proudly celebrates its *80th Independence Day* . 🌟 This historic day reminds us of the long struggle against colonial rule and the sacrifices that secured our freedom. ✊ It awakens deep feelings of patriotism ❤️🤍💚 and instills a sense of responsibility towards the nation. Independence Day is a moment to reflect on our journey 📖, rejoice in our achievements 🏆 and look forward with hope and determination 🌈. It calls upon us to remain united 🤝 and work together for prosperity 💫. Above all, it is a heartfelt tribute 🙏 to the countless freedom fighters whose courage and sacrifice shaped India into a free and progressive nation. The theme for this year’s celebration is *Yuva Shakti for Viksit Bharat@2047*, highlighting the role of youth in building a developed India by the centenary of independence. ✨
🧡🤍💚 *Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, Harni*, marked the occasion with immense pride and patriotic fervour 🎉. During the morning assembly 🌅, Brightians paid homage to the nation by sharing engaging facts and information 📚 about Independence Day. In classrooms, teachers highlighted the importance of Independence Day, explaining its historical roots and present-day relevance.
🫡 The Independence Day programme began with a warm welcome speech 🎤, followed by the *Flag Hoisting ceremony* 🚩 performed by the *Principal Ms. Neeta Sharma* . She was escorted by the Sports teachers Ms Chitra Gavli and Mr Nitin Gohil. The *National Anthem* 🎶 was sung with pride, and soon after, the assembly resonated with the *Jhanda Geet* 🎵, sung by heads, teachers, parents and students together 👨👩👧👦.
In her address, the Principal shared the overarching vision of *Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji* , centred on Viksit Bharat 2047 - the goal of transforming India into a fully developed nation by the centenary of independence. She reminded the gathering that Independence Day is not only a celebration of freedom but also a checkpoint for where we go next 🛤️, urging students to unite under a shared mission of progress. With heartfelt respect and gratitude 🙏 to the freedom fighters, she reminded students that their sacrifices are not merely a legacy to inherit but a responsibility to uphold. Linking this vision to Atmanirbhar Bharat, she inspired students to embrace self reliance, innovation 💡 and creativity 🎨 as the foundation of national progress. She further urged students to work hard 📖, respect elders 🙌 and cultivate empathy and kindness 💕. She advised them to take care of the environment 🌍, maintain cleanliness 🧹, and uplift society 🌿, while also reminding the youth to use technology mindfully 📱, transforming screen time into innovative energy that contributes to India’s growth. The Principal, paid tribute to the founder of the school, *Sir Shri Jayendrabhai Shah* 🌟, whose vision and dedication laid the foundation for school’s journey. With pride, she announced that the Harni unit has completed 20 glorious years 🎉, a milestone reflecting its commitment to excellence and holistic education; under the strong leadership and guidance of its *Chairman Dr Simit Shah* and *Directress Ms Swara Shah* . Concluding her address, she inspired everyone to pledge themselves to unity 🤝, compassion 💕 and innovation 🚀.
The *cultural segment* featured presentations🎶 and energetic dances💃🕺. Under the guidance of our music teacher, Dhairya Sir, students presented a medley of patriotic songs 🎶 that filled the air with pride. The soulful notes of the flute played by a talented Brightian🎼 added serenity to the atmosphere, while the energizing dance, mentored by Ms Harsh*ta Rane, on the song "Kandho Se Milte Hain Kandhe..." 💃 brought a wave of enthusiasm across the audience. The highlight of the event was Veeranjali – Naya Bharat 🔥, a thunderous dance performance, mentored by our dance teacher Jimmish Chaudhary; that beautifully traced India’s journey from independence to its emergence as an Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat. It stood as a tribute to the heroes who gave us freedom ✊, the generations who built our nation 🏛️, and the young minds who will shape tomorrow’s Bharat 🌟. The story of India as a strong, confident, developing nation was splendidly portrayed by Brightians 👏. The programme concluded with a soulful patriotic melody sung by our music teacher, Mr. Rajiv Dashputre 🎤, leaving everyone with a deep sense of pride and unity ❤️🤍💚. Towards the finale 🎇, the *national song 'Vande Mataram'* was sung 🎤, filling the atmosphere with pride 🌟. The event concluded with a *Vote of Thanks* 🙏. Brightians and their parents attended in large numbers 👨👩👧👦, making the celebration truly memorable 💖.
