Mahashivratri is a spiritually powerful night dedicated to Lord Shiva. This annual festival is considered one of the most sacred observances in the Hindu calendar and is marked by fasting, night-long worship, meditation, and temple rituals across the country. According to the Hindu lunar calendar, Mahashivratri falls on Phalguna Krishna Chaturdashi. This year, this auspicious tithi aligns with Sunday, 15 February 2026 i.e. today.

🏫🎶💃🏻🕺🏽Today, Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, Harni; celebrated the birth anniversary of the visionary founder of Bright Group of Schools *Sir Shri Jayendrabhai Shah*, with love and respect. Brightians honoured Sir's life journey — from a humble teacher to a revered educator — through a *musical parody* of beautifully curated songs, creatively narrating his story of *commitment, dedication and devotion* to education. The songs and dances were mentored by our music and dance teachers. His vision continues to light the path for every child who walks through our doors.
💐🫡🙏To mark the day, Brightians across all grades took part in meaningful activities. Brightians of Std I & II shared the story of 'The Thirsty Crow' highlighting the moral: A will will find a way. Brightians wrote the school motto using *different colours*, making it bright and memorable. Brightians of *Std III* designed beautiful *bookmarks* with the school motto, reminding themselves of Sir’s message of perseverance. Brightians of Std IV created their own *Value Trees*, each branch filled with personal values they’ve learned — honesty, kindness and respect — echoing Sir’s teachings.
Brightians of Std V & VI played *“Pass the Smile”*, sharing positive affirmations they’ve picked up at school, spreading joy and gratitude.
Brightians of Std VII, VIII & IX expressed their creativity through *posters and poems* on the theme, 'Our Founder’s School', capturing his ideals of a nurturing, inclusive and inspiring learning space.

🏫Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, Near Gada Circle; celebrated the Annual Concert ‘Unity in Diversity' of Std. III to XII in the Shri J R Shah Auditorium on 24th January, 2026.
🏆The chief guest for the event was Sir Nish*th Anand Dand, a distinguished technocrat and industry leader, widely recognized for his contributions to India’s space, safety and industrial development sectors. A warm welcome was extended to the chief guest Sir Nish*th Anand Dand, esteemed Chairman, Dr. Simit Shah, Directress Ms. Swara Shah, the Heads of School, and all attending parents. The celebration began with the auspicious ‘Ganesh Stuti’, a soulful invocation offered to Lord Ganesh, seeking his blessings for a smooth and successful unfolding of the event. The Principal, Ms Neeta Sharma shared the School Report, showcasing the remarkable accomplishments of both, the institution and its students of the academic year. The ‘Prize Distribution’ ceremony was held, where winners of International, National, State and District level as well as the Toppers of Std. X and XII for the academic year 2024-2025 were felicitated by the chief guest Sir Nish*th Anand Dand.
🎵🎧💃🕺🎶The programme commenced with a powerful 'Shiv Stuti' dance, blending devotion with dynamic energy on stage. Brightians' graceful movements and rhythmic expressions captured the essence of Lord Shiva’s cosmic dance. This was followed by the dynamic performance ‘Bharat Jeet Aye Hein…’, where Brightians brought the Indian Women’s Cricket World Cup victory to life through a vibrant dance performance. Their rhythmic celebration echoed national pride, honouring the champions’ triumph with energy and grace. Uttarakhand’s lively ‘Pahadi’ folk dance performance by the Brightians enthralled the audience, showcasing the region’s rich cultural heritage. Their lively steps and colourful attire brought the spirit of the hills to the school’s stage.
🎵🎧💃🕺🎶Brightians captivated the audience with the ‘Warrior Dance’, reflecting Gujarat’s glorious history and vibrant cultural spirit. Their powerful performance embodied courage, sacrifice, honour, pride and timeless self-respect for the land and its people. Brightians performed the soulful ‘Har Har Gange…’ dance, portraying the holy Ganges River as a sacred symbol of purity and devotion in times gone by. Their dance also reflected its present sorrowful state, urging its preservation as the need of the hour.
🎵🎧💃🕺🎶Another spiritually captivating performance was witnessed by the audience in ‘Dwarka no nath maro...' a song celebrating the glory of Lord Dwarkadhish (Lord Krishna), the timeless symbol of faith and righteousness. Brightians gracefully performed ‘Betiyaan’, a blend of drama and dance that celebrated a father’s everlasting love for his daughters and the pride and honour they bring him. Through expressive movements, they portrayed the timeless bond between the father and daughters with elegance and emotion.
🇮🇳As the grand finale, Brightians presented a resplendent patriotic dance, a heartfelt tribute to the glory and spirit of Mother India. With every graceful step and powerful gesture, they evoked pride, honour and reverence for the nation’s heritage and freedom.
🌟Every performance reflected the students’ remarkable talent, heartfelt passion, and unwavering dedication, transforming the event into a memorable celebration of culture, spirit and artistic expression.
💃🏻🕺🏽Every dance performance was meticulously choreographed by our devoted choreographers, Ms. Vaishali Bane and Mr. Jimish Chaudhary. Their artistry, coupled with the spirited participation of the students, turned the celebration into an unforgettable experience. Parents conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the school management for presenting such a spectacular and seamlessly organized function.

🇮🇳Every year, on January 26, the nation celebrates the Republic Day to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950, which officially established India as a sovereign, democratic republic.
🏫Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, Near Gada Circle; celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great fervour and patriotic zeal. The celebration was set into motion with the welcome note. Our honourable Chairman, Dr Simit Shah unfurled the National Flag - a symbolic representation of India’s sovereignty, unity and integrity. The Directress, Ms Swara Shah's presence added grace to the event.
Everyone present at the event sang the National Anthem and the Jhanda Geet ‘Vijayi Vishwa Tiranga Pyara...’ igniting the spirit of patriotism all over again. The Principal - Ms Neeta Sharma addressed the gathering. She portrayed the Constitution as a living, breathing charter that adapts and evolves alongside the nation’s journey. Addressing the Brightians—the nation’s future leaders—she urged them to honour the Constitution and embrace their role as responsible citizens. Her counsel began with the importance of small, daily commitments, reminding them that true change is built step by step. She inspired them to uphold their fundamental duties, to raise their voices against bullying, to resist blind conformity and to ground their decisions in reason and logic. She called upon them to become a generation that confronts the challenges of climate change, cherishes and respects their parents and steadfastly upholds the timeless values enshrined in the Constitution.
Moving forward our music teachers, Mr Rajiv Dashputre, Ms Debjani along with their student choir delivered a powerful fusion of ‘Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja...', 'Mere Desh Ki Dharti....' and 'Yeh Duniya Ek Dulhan...'. Voices in harmony, hearts filled with pride, our choir's patriotic melodies echoed the spirit of the Republic Day. With every note, we celebrated India's unity and freedom! The accompanying dance performances served as a moving tribute to the Indian National Army, inspiring everyone present at the event to march forward with courage and unity. The Brightians presented a vibrant Lazium performance, radiating energy and flawless synchronization to honour the spirit of the Republic Day. The resonant clashing of the laziums, combined with disciplined choreography and powerful slogans promoting Road Safety, Good Health, core values enshrined in the constitution like Justice, Equality, Fraternity, Liberty and more; reflected their unwavering commitment to holistic growth and their resolve to emerge as responsible citizens of India. In a grand and dignified presentation ‘Who We Are’, the Brightians illuminated the Republic Day stage with a performance that celebrated the glorious achievements of the school’s sports champions. From Chess and Karate to Badminton, Tennis, Kho-Kho, Handball and Volleyball, their victories in Khel Mahakumbh and SGFI at the zonal, district, and state levels stood as a proud testament to the indomitable spirit of the institution. Moving forward, Brightians delivered a breathtaking dance performance to the soul-stirring notes of ‘Vande Mataram’, beautifully capturing the essence of devotion and national pride. Through graceful choreography and vibrant formations, the performers paid a magnificent tribute to the legacy of our national song and the spirit of Mother India.
The National Song ‘Vande Mataram’ was sung by the school’s choir. The event concluded by proposing the vote of thanks. Around 310 Brightians participated in the event. The presence of parents was very encouraging and heart-warming.

🌻☀️🐝Vasant Panchami is a Hindu festival that celebrates the onset of spring in India. The term vasant means ‘spring’ in Hindi and since the festival is observed on the fifth day of the Magha month according to the Hindu Lunar calendar, it is named Vasant Panchami. This year it falls on 23rd January i.e. today. This day is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge, wisdom, learning, music and arts. On this day, devotees offer prayers to Goddess Saraswati and seek the blessings for academic success and artistic endeavours.
🏫Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, Harni; organized Saraswati Puja to worship Goddess Saraswati and seek her blessings. Brightians were enlightened about Vasant Panchami rituals and significance during the morning assembly and in classrooms.

National Youth Day is observed on 12th January every year, to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda; the great philosopher, thinker and social reformer. He is a true inspiration to the youth of our country as his teachings continue to guide us even today. The theme of National Youth Day 2026 is, 'Ignite the Self, Impact the World'.
At Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, Harni; Swami Vivekanand’s teachings were shared during the morning assembly. Informative videos and essays on the life and works of Swami Vivekanand were shown to Brightians in class. Brightians made beautiful sketches of the youth icon and wrote inspiring slogans of the great thinker and philosopher and pledged to imbibe his preachings in life. Students also drew and traced their palms symbolizing that the future of our country is in their hands and that they have to be courageous and disciplined.

🏫Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, Near Gada Circle, celebrated the Annual Sports Meet for the students of Std. I to XII on 6th and 7th January 2026. The event was graced by the Chairman Dr. Simit Shah, Directress Ms. Swara Shah, Principal Ms. Neeta Sharma, Heads of School, parents and students.
🙌🏻 🚶♂️The event began with a solemn invocation of God’s blessings, setting a tone of reverence and hope. Brightians marched with heads held high in the March Past—a display of discipline, coordination and unity. Carrying the school and house flags, they paraded with precision and grace, filling every heart with pride. Students of Primary School strode with pride and confidence in the Walk Past carrying slogans of Good Health, Cleanliness, Safety, Kindness, Animal Welfare etc.
🔥The torch-lighting ceremony was a moment of honour, as our national-level champions bore the flame with dignity. Its glow symbolized peace, friendship and the enduring spirit of competition. In the oath-taking ceremony, participants pledged to uphold true sportsmanship—promising fairness, respect and integrity in every contest.
✨The most anticipated highlight of the day—the drills—formally inaugurated the Sports Meet. Brightians took to the field with boundless enthusiasm, performing a variety of captivating routines including Zumba, Dumbbells, Look Who We Are and Lazium. Each performance was a spectacle; showcasing intricate movements, synchronized steps and striking formations. With every stride in perfect harmony, the students created a mesmerizing display of discipline, unity, and teamwork that left the audience spellbound.
⛳The excitement continued with the track and field events, featuring a wide array of races such as the Running Race, Shuttle Race, Sack Race, Drop Grab and Go, Ball Rolling, Book Balancing, and the thrilling 4x100m Relay. Each event was thoughtfully designed for different grade levels, ensuring full participation. The competitors radiated energy and enthusiasm, embodying the true spirit of sportsmanship as they gave their best in every contest.
✌️🎖️The winners of various sports events were honoured with medals, celebrating their achievements. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks.
✌️⭐The Annual Sports Meet was a resounding success. Parents enjoyed the event immensely and commended the school for its excellent organization. The school management sincerely appreciates and acknowledges the dedication and efforts of the Physical Education teachers - Ms Chitra Gavli, Mr Nitin Gohil, Ms Swati Bhole, Ms Sonal Bhalodia, Mr Sagar Ligade and Ms Nisha Palga.
