Revision Strategy for GATE 2024
Revising is very much important for clearing any exam, as with time we usually forget the concept we learn.
🥇🥈Toppers usually revise the entire syllabus minimum 3-4 times.
But do we need to revise all topics(subjects) equally?? 🤔
↪️ The answer is NO 🙅♂🙅♀
The topics which we get interest, we tend to understand them better hence requires less revision, compared to topics which we find difficult. So we need to revise difficult topics more frequently🚨
When to revise a topic?
1. Topics which you find difficult, revise them as frequently as you can, my suggestion is every 15days once.
2. Topics which are medium difficult revise them once a month
3. Topics which are simple, don't forget to revise them, because sometimes in exam you forget simple things, so don't neglect, revise them once in every 40days.
What to Revise in a topic?
When revising a topic start with PYQs or test of the topic. As this will help you know how much concepts you remember of the topic.
The result of the test or PYQs will decide the amount of work required in revision.
If very poor results in test/pyqs then the topic needs to studied once again.
Ways to Revise?
1. Daily Approach
Daily dedicate atleast an hour specially for revision of completed topics
2. Weekly Approach
Dedicate 2 consecutive days of the week for revision. In the 1st day give test/PYQs and do the analysis. On the second day revise the theory of entire topic and make short notes.
⚠️ I prefer the weekly approach.
Hope this helps you. Thank you for reading.🙏
