মডেল পরিবারের সকলকে জানাই শুভ নববর্ষের
শুভেচ্ছা ও ভালোবাসা I

খুব বেশি নয়, আজ থেকে দুই দশক পিছনে যদি ফিরি? সেই ছোটবেলায় বা কিশোর-কিশোরীবেলায় প্রেমের কোনো বিশেষ "দিন" ছিল না। ছোট্ট মফস্বলে কেউ জানতোই না যে ১৪ই ফেব্রোয়ারির এমন কোনো গুরুত্ব আছে !! কিন্তু তাই বলে প্রেম কি হতো না? কেন হবে না — প্রেমে পড়লেই হতো। যখন তখন হতো I সহশিক্ষার দৌলতে ইশকুলে পরিচয় হতো ছেলেমেয়েদের, আর সেখানে তাদের ভালোলাগাও তৈরি হতো I এই নিয়ে ইশকুল জুড়ে তৈরী হতো কত মজার গল্প !! সবাই তাতে শরিক হতো, অন্তত বেশিরভাগ ছেলেমেয়ের দল I ক্লাসের পরে, বিরতির সময় একের পরে অন্য গল্প জুড়ে তৈরি হতো ভালোলাগার গল্পের মালা I তেমন গল্প এই বিদ্যালয়ের সকলের নিশ্চই জানা, তাই না?

১৯৮৪ সালে যারা ছোট্ট মডেল স্কুলের প্রথম শ্রেণীতে পড়েছে, তারা আজ জীবনের নানান ক্ষেত্রে ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে নানান দিকে I কিন্তু বিদ্যালয় জীবনের স্মৃতি তাদের মিলিত করেছিল গত ২৬শে জানুয়ারী সিঙ্গুরে I পুনর্মিলনের আনন্দে কেটে গিয়েছিলো কিছু মুহূর্ত I এই ছবি সেখান থেকেই তোলা I

প্রাথমিক স্কুলের সেই উৎসা দিদিমনির (উৎসা সেনগুপ্ত) কথা আজ কি কারো মনে আছে? যিনি ছোটদের ভোম্বল সর্দারের গল্প বলতেন, যিনি ছেলেদের আর মেয়েদের আদর করে ডাকতেন 'হনুমান' আর 'হনুমনি' !! রোজ সকালবেলার প্রার্থনার সময় তিনি হাত জোড় করে গান শুরু করতেন, আর তাতে গলা মেলাতো সব শিশুরা I ছোট্ট চেহারার সেই মানুষটির দুদিকে ঝুলতো লম্বা বিনুনি I এমনি করেই পাঁচ দিনের আলাদা আলাদা গান সকলের তৈরী হয়ে যেত I প্রার্থনা হতো ছাউনির নিচে, যেখানে ছিল কাঠের খুঁটি I প্রার্থনার শেষে সারিবদ্ধ ভাবে এক এক ক্লাস চলে যেত তাদের নিজস্ব শ্রেণীকক্ষে I মনে আছে সেসব কথা?

মাধ্যমিক পরীক্ষার আগে বিদ্যালয়ের শেষদিন I ২০১৮-১৯ সালের দশম শ্রেণীর ছাত্রীরা I ভালো ফলের জন্য আমাদের সকলের অভিনন্দন রইলো I

আমাদের শিক্ষিকা শ্রদ্ধেয়া মিতালি কর্মকারের পোস্ট থেকে পুরোনো দিনের এইদুটি ছবি দেওয়া হলো I মিতালি দিদিমনিকে তাঁর সংগ্রহ থেকে ছবিদুটি আমাদের দেখার সুযোগ করে দেওয়ার জন্য ধন্যবাদ I

এ কথা তো আমরা সবাই জানি I তবে সবাই মিলে এসো না, আর একবার স্মরণ করি I

Can you still remember the cover and this page of "Radiant Way" which was taught in our primary classes? The book was beautifully illustrated by somebody called Rene Cloke and the publisher was W & R Chambers Limited. I made a quick search and found that the publishing house based in Edinburgh was founded by two brothers William Chambers and Robert Chambers in 1832. The series "Radiant Way" was first published in the 1950s. It was a successful one. Although the characters in the books were very English, we as students could connect to them. It's a regret that the series is now out of print.

Dear All, Let's write something about our school in simple sentences, either in Bangla or in English. Let me begin with something:

My school is located in two places – Bally and Uttarpara in West Bengal. It has a three-storey house and a big building. It is not very far from my home. I go to school by bus. The driver uncle helps me get into the bus every morning. He is very kind to me. The school has a staircase. That leads us to each floor. My class is on the second floor. There is a library and a science lab on the first floor. We also have an auditorium on the top floor. All school functions take place there. Our class teacher is Shrimati Didimoni. She takes our Bangla class. She loves us and we all like her too. She wears a cotton saree every day and looks very pretty. My best friend in school is Nasreen. Her hobby is collecting pens. I call her father uncle. Uncle is a doctor in the local hospital. He once came to the school for our medical check-up.

For the sudden demise of our respected sir,Sri Dwijendralal Sarkar,the honourable founder and secretary of Model Group Of Schools,the Reunion,2017(proposed to be held on the ensuing 26th of January,2017)has been postponed but not cancelled.The next date for the same will be declared soon.
